This comet will be back 106 thousand years from now. Will it coincide with the Second Coming?

Yog-Sothoth says:
Brad W: "did the RCC intentionally align Conclave Day 1 with this comet being nearest Earth?"

FAIL - PanSTARRS made its closest approach to earth LAST Tuesday, March 5. It was about 100 million miles (1.1AU) from earth.

It made its closest approach to the sun (perihelion) on SUNDAY March 10. The "March 12th" date given in your post is the date it should be most easily seen, as it will be very close to the crescent moon, about 30 minutes after sunset. It may be difficult to see, being still in fairly bright twilight, and very low (about 10 deg.) above the horizon. Each night it should be a little higher, but farther away and dimmer. It should still be visible in good binoculars and telescopes for about 10 more days, or so.

All this was known and published almost TWO YEARS ago (June, 2011), when the comet was first discovered. - LOOOONG before Benedict announced any retirement plans.

Any speculations/rants on what the appearance of even bigger and brighter (hopefully) Comet ISON will bring next November?

it travelled 20 billion miles and then missed the Sun by 20 million?

Re OP: This stank of Watson from the moment I read the topic. As usual, he has nothing of significance to say -- and is wasting Amazon's disk space to no good purpose. (Fortunately for Amazon, disk space is now fairly cheap.)

I've got one!

The lower the number of a golf club, the longer the club.
The lower the musical note, the longer the wavelength.
Coincidence?

I guess emperor palpatine is up to his old schemes again, waiting for the stars to align to fuel his forces to strengthen the dark side once again

I wonder if there was a comet passing near the sun of Nestor at the same time (74), while the new Nestling Epop was being elected (77)? I wouldn't be surprised if there was...

(28) + (17) = (45). 'coincidence'?

<<Let the record show that you mock GOD, His Christ, and cosmic alignments.>>

respectfully, sir, you're mocking Him by pretending He supports your ridiculous arguments.

Introduction to Gematria - Hebrew Numerology

In Hebrew, each letter possesses a numerical value. Gematria is the calculation of the numerical equivalence of letters, words, or phrases, and, on that basis, gaining, insight into interrelation of different concepts and exploring the interrelationship between words and ideas.

Here is a basic introduction to Gematria that discusses different systems for identifying the numerical equivalence of individual letters, how these letters can be calculated according to the implicit word-value of their names.

The assumption behind this technique is that numerical equivalence is not coincidental. Since the world was created through God's "speech," each letter represents a different creative force. Thus, the numerical equivalence of two words reveals an internal connection between the creative potentials of each one. (see Tanya, Sha'ar HaYichud VeHaEmunah, chapters 1 and 12.)

There are four basic ways to calculate the numerical equivalent for each individual letter:

Absolute Value

Ordinal Value

Reduced Value

Integral Reduced value

The Tikunei Zohar explains that the concept of reduced value is related to the spiritual world of Yetzirah. On that basis, a relationship can be established between these four forms of calculation, the four spiritual realms, and the four letters of God's name: letter of God's essential Name, Havayah type of calculation world
yud absolute value emanation (atzilut)
hei ordinal value creation (beri'ah)
vav reduced value formation (yetzirah)
hei integral reduced value action (asiyah)

On Innerpedia, our online encyclopedia, there are entries for many individual numbers, explaining both the significance of each number in number theory and what words and phrases equal that number. Words and phrases are taken from the gamut of traditional Torah literature and divided into sections: Bible, literature of the sages, Kabbalah, Chassidut, and Harav Ginsburgh's works. Here is a list of the current numbers with entries:0 1014 1225

Re noman, above: Interesting. The only problem I have with this is that it may encourage BWM to continue with his nonsense. We note that his "reckoning" is in English; it would be different in any other language. Consider the implications of trying to do this sort of nonsense in Chinese...

**Possibly...IMO heavy earth moving machinery and direct divine intervention couldn't move him from his fantasy. And I don't think he needs any *encouragement* beyond an oxygen atmosphere.

Mr. Saunders,

It's useful to observe that, even in English, BMW's system is only one of many ways of giving latin characters a numerical value. It's one of those clear proofs that, starting from a false premise, one can "prove" absolutely anything.

BTW, if BMW is the Second Coming it's surprising that no one noticed his "arrival in glory." (Maybe by "Second Coming" he simply means "also ran.")

Re Mielke, above: Indeed so. If we limit ourselves to the integers 1 through 26 (a restriction which is solely ad argumentum), we can choose 1 of 26 integers for A, 1 of 25 for B, and so on: a total of 26! arrangements. This is a rather large number -- the decimal expression runs to something like 27 digits. Indeed, it handily exceeds the total number of atoms in a gallon of water.

I get it now -- Watson is a genius comedian -- look at what he posted in the Christianity forum:

"Brad Watson, Miami says:
Rabbit = Rabbi t. This is the 'Easter Rabbit Code'. The word 'rabbit' is 'rabbi' with a cross at the end. What a perfect way to sum up Jesus' life and mission. "

Otter,

Are you a real minister? Do you believe in the 2nd Coming of the Christ? Do you agree that the scientific method can be used to prove reincarnation and that Albert Einstein's eternal soul would be the likely one to do it?
