This is a new novel that tells a story from the Detroit that once was, about a family's struggle to keep up with the changes of the 1960's. Lots of distinclty Detroit references, from well-known milestones like the 1967 riots to lesser-known events like the annual Detroit Police Field Day at Tiger Stadium.

Have you read The Art Students War: Detroit in the fifties when it was called the "Paris of the Midwest".
