Okay, here is the thing... women love shoes of every kind and color, right? Well, when is it considered that a person is obbessed with shoes? When does it go from, "Wonderful collection" to "You have a problem!" Five pairs, 10 pairs.... 50 pairs etc. How many pairs of shoes do you own? Where is your favorite place to buy shoes. I own 50 pairs of shoes and have Amazon Shoes on my desk top.
Can't wait to read your replies.

i have a minimum of 50 pairs of shoes in my possession at all times ! here is how i live with myself ... when i get a bunch of new ones ... i donate anything i haven't worn in over year (it must be the quantity or more) to charity ... i purchase from amazon, zappos, & ... i almost never buy shoes "in person" anymore unless it is an unfamiliar maker to me & i do not know my size ... rock on shoe shoppers & lovers

We are of a like mind. Although, I don't always give away 50 pairs of shoes at a time I do keep trying to slim-down my shoe closet and donate to charity. I could never through a pair of shoes away! I never really wear any one pair of shoes enough to wear them out so I give to the local charities. I love shopping Amazon for shoes because the second most wonderful thing to a new pair of shoes is a great deal. I find I can get high quality shoes at 75% off if not more. The hunt for the great deal is what makes shoe shopping so much fun.

I have over 25 pairs but def. not 50! But I have a feeling it will come to this!!! How can anyone survive with less than 25?? I wear ALL of my shoes too. They don't just sit in my closet gathering dust. So to me, as long as you wear and enjoy all of your shoes, it doesn't matter how many pairs you have!!

I'm inching toward 100 pairs! But in my defense; I live in the midwest where you have extremely cold winters and brutally hot summers. As a result, you need boots for the winter, sandals for the summer, etc...

...well at least that's what I'm telling myself! :)

No such thing as too many . . . but perhaps an exception can be made for Imelda Marcos :P

I have at least 30 pairs (I lost count long ago). To my male friends, however, that is about 25 too many!

I am a male with around 150 pairs of kicks and counting. To be honest more than 1 of anything is more than you need but collecting kicks is more about satisfying a want than a need. It's all about rubbing that itch you can never really scratch. I will stop when I hit 366 pairs, that's one for everyday of the year, plus February 29th when it comes around.

Oh my're so funny...and just as deluded as I am! I live on the east coast and I justify my shoe collection in the same manner, but hey, it's all about being fierce!!! A great pair of shoes can make any mediocre outfit fabulous. I don't even make excuses anymore...I like shoes...period!

I stopped counting at 200 pairs. I have to admit that a few pairs are Museum Shoes (you know, too beautiful to wear, but perfect to look at!) That was also about the same time I turned the spare room into a closet. I'm still looking for the right shoe organizer (Display My Little Pretties) system.

I know just how you feel. I have shoes I know I'll never wear that are like new but I just love to look at them. In fact, I use them to decorate. I have an old fashion wardrobe of which I have two old fashion hat boxes with two pairs of shoes displayed on top. I also stuffed a pair of shoes with little foam cushions that I covered with matching fabric and use one as a pin cushion and the other to pin little reminder notes. Of course I use fancy pins with hearts and starts at the top. I simply love shoes. :D

Aaack! Shoes as decorations, I do that, too! Some of my Museum Shoes are on my dresser shelves. And I love your pin cushion ideas! Too cool!

OMG you guys are worst than me!!...people say im crazy cause I have well over 100 pairs, but I cant help it, this month alone ive purchased at least 15 pair, i know i know what an addict I must be!, I just dont have children or bills and a steady secure job ( military) so shoes are my gift to myself for such hard work ..LOL ...also my foot is about a wide 9 1/2 or 10 so I usually find them in the clearance isle..even more excuses as to why i can and should buy them...YAY for big feet!..anywho Im glad im not alone, I feel a little better since ive seen this posting, besides NINE WEST shoes for under 30$$$ are a blessing! ..whos with me!?

PS- I also do as all of you do and donate my old shoes (which are actually failry new shoes that I never really used) to the Base thrift store when I dont think I like them anymore- <actually when I realize they were my museum shoes>...LOL... we all know buying on impulse is like buying things intoxicated; but by donating them at least someone else can enjoy them, instead of dust bunnies using them as condos.

I love women who love shoes! Someone once told me that you can tell everything about a woman's personality by looking in her shoe closet. As a single 43 year old guy, I can totally agree with that statement... Her shoes indicate her mood, budget, and style - Which changes all the time. So... A woman has every right to continue to dress her tootsies depending on her mood! It also keeps us men very attentive. I love buying or shopping with women for their shoes...Especially quality heels with toe cleavage! You go girls!!!!
