1.There is a movie called "Immortality" USA format or "The Wisdom Of The Crocodiles" British Arts Format. The score is beautiful But it is NOT released. Any one know anything about the score?

2. Goldie Hawn stars in a movie called "Deceived". The score is beautiful but it is NOT released. Why?

Sometimes, the movie studios that release the movies fail to secure music soundtrack rights. Look how long it took Vangelis to re-release the soundtrack to BLADE RUNNER.

The soundtrack was originally supposed to be released in 1982, but because it came out so close to CHARIOTS OF FIRE, Polydor (his label at the time) declined to release it. A decent cover by the New World Symphony Orchestra came out instead. It took over 20 years for Vangelis to release it through Atlantic.

On a related note, SoapNet began re-running RYAN'S HOPE, but their episodes on the cabler don't go past 1981 - they didn't secure the music rights after that, despite it being a Disney-owned company.

Have you heard Tyler Bates' cues from Sucker Punch? Good stuff; he's released four of them on his website, but still no plans for the score itself.

Miami Nights says:
The original score for Franco Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet isn't available. I've heard that it was released on vinyl way back when, but it's never been on CD. There is a CD with dialogue bits over the music, but not one of the score.

There's a CD with a re-recording of the music, but it doesn't have the warmth and emotion of the original.

Brother Sun Sister Moon by Donovan, there is a soundtrack of orchestral music from the film and the songs in Italian. Donovan also redid the songs for iTunes a couple of years back.
There was no soundtrack for Big with Tom Hanks (would have loved to hear the toy piano duet Hanks and Robert Loggia did)
The Disney version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella with Brandy, Whitney Houston and Bernadette Peters. Perhaps due to the artists' recording contract.

Deceieved is a great score by Thomas Newman that will HOPEFULLY get a legit release.....maybe Intrada, Lakeshore, Varese, Screen Archives or LaLaLand records will get a hold of the masters and release it.....Mark Isham's score for A Midnight Clear came out for about as long as a fart in a windstorm and now cannot be found ANYWHERE. It needs to be re-released. Any ideas or comments? csjintn@aol.com

Lee Daniel's Shadowboxer has an answer score by Mario Grigorov (I think that's his name). While the movie isn't one of the best, the score is very good. The score can be found on his website, but no way to purchase it.

The score for the Lion King has never been released, and that won the Oscar for best score. There are a few cues on the soundtrack but the score has never been officially pressed (it is available on promo disks though). Pity!
