Are we going to be paying an additional 3 Percent on all our orders now when we use our Amazon Visa or any other charge card?

Excuse me, but where did you get the idea that Amazon would be charging us to use it's Amazon Visa card? I hadn't heard that anywhere.

I did read an article that said "some companies" will be starting to charge extra if you use a credit card. However, it makes no sense (to me) for any company to do this when there is no other way to make purchases from that company except by using a credit card.

Actually, V., the other increasingly popular way is to get their little mitts on your checking account. Many companies only do electronic withdrawals from checking accounts for free. They charge for credit card payments.

Because a lot of states are now charging for people to use credit crads such as Visa or Mastercard, and since Amazon is based out of Seattle this is why they asked (I think)

It isn't the states. The banks skim 3-5% off the transaction before paying the merchant. Until now the merchants were prohibited by their contracts from recovering that charge from the customer.

The courts threw that contract clause out.
