Well, on many other forums I've gone on and on about how much I like Moonlight and Blood Ties.
Now, I'm looking for other tv shows that include vamps, witches, shifters, or others.

I'm already watching:
Blood Ties
Doctor Who
Battlestar Galactica
Bionic Woman
Dresden Files (still everhopeful it will be brought back)
Ghost Whisperer

So any suggestions about something I'm not already recording to watch would be great because I know some of these probably won't be back next season.

Try Torchwood on BBC. It's a mix of Doctor Who and Supernatural, thrown in with some X-Files, and boy can the actors act. Especially the main female character. The new season begins in January, so right now they are running last season's, and you really need to watch it first.
Dresden Files-I only got to watch one episode of it, but was hooked then and there.
Blood Ties-This last season was it, I'm afraid. If you didn't watch the last couple of episodes (web only), go to to watch them.
Fallen was out last season, I don't know if they will release a second season or not, but it was very good.

I've been watching Torchwood. I do like it but not as much as I like Doctor Who.

I've started watching more and more of the BBC shows. I like Hex and Jekyll too.

And Dresden Files was great. It was a bummer to learn they won't be bringing it back.

Just thought you might like to know the Dresden Files is also a book series. I think if you guys love the show the books will be good for you to try out.

Back in the '80's PBS ran a short-lived (10 eps) British series called The Omega Factor. It had everything you mentioned that you liked. (Viewer outrage led to the series cancellation after the "Powers of Darkness" episode.) It's available on Amazon.

The one show you are missing from your collection (assuming you have one) is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Specifically, from Season 3 forward, the series gets really fantastic (and quite serious too.) Without a doubt, it was because of Josh Whedon's glorious creation that its predecessors even exist. Buffy started it all.

You should check out "Sanctuary" on SciFi

I've started Sanctuary. Waiting to see how it goes. Watching Pushing Daisies now that it has started back up and the Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Love True Blood. I'm all into the forums under C. Harris' books discussing them.

Supernatural is back and boy did I miss Sam and Dean! Loved how they brought their mother in the trip to the past for Dean.

Ghost Whisperer is back also.

Still loving me some Primeval.

Had to bid farewell to Eureka till next season.

Heroes is back. And Peter flipping back and forth from being the good guy and the bad guy....well, I love Peter. Still my favorite character. Though Sylar has become rather interesting.

I've actually been watching the Lost reruns on G4 and SciFi and am now hooked on a new series. LOL

Castle Lover says:
Well, this is a book series but it reads like a movie, so I thought I'd mention it just in case you'd like it. I suggest Sons of God by Rebecca Ellen Kurtz. It's the first of a five novel series. It's prologue begins in ancient times but the rest of the book is in modern times but placed at the archaeological dig of Nineveh (so it still doesn't feel modern).

The protagonist is a N'filim (descendant of an angel and human written of in the Bible and other ancient religions) who hunts down her fallen brethren with her brother. She makes her living as a treasure hunter of mythic items but must return to Nineveh where an archaeological dig has stirred up some mysterious supernatural deaths.

All supernatural entities are ones that would be found on the tv show Supernatural. Angels, Demons, Ghosts, and N'filim. In the novel, N'filim who drink blood are vampires, and she even presents research from ancient civilizations to support this. There is a romance but it's a subplot.

It's been dubbed the Da Vinci Code for Twilight, Hancock, and Indiana Jones Fans because it gives all this research on the supernatural entities that we see on the Supernatual tv show.

I know it has been said but it bears repeating...The X-Files.

Charmed was kind of cute too.

Loved Xfiles, though I only watched it for the first two seasons and then some off and on.

Loved Charmed.

Anybody been watching Primeval? Know if it was going to do a second season or not?

Lets see:
Friday the 13th the tv series thankfully it has NOTHING to do with the moronic movie series. man sells soul to Devil eternal life in return for selling cursed objects, man renigs and dies, niece and nephew have to collect the artifacts. Very well done from the 80s.
Brimstone: This is where they got the idea for Reaper. Cop dies and goes to Hell for commmiting murder. Satan gives him a second chance capture 113 escaped souls and he returns to earth (only one season sadly)
Warehouse 13: sorta a descendent of Friday, govt agents hunting bizzare artefacts. Neat historical and some what geeky refference on the more light hearted side.
Doctor Who: the original series is good but go back and check out the original. Longest running sci fi show in television history.
Being Human: werewolf and a vampire rent an apartment together that happens to be haunted. Its even more wrped then it sounds.

Does anyone know when the rest of Poltergeist: The Legacy will be released on DVD? I've been waiting for ages to see these come out, it just seems that this great series has been forgotten.

I think Supernatural is the best show ever. Jensen & Jared are so gorgeous. I have been to the convention at Birmingham ans they were both so funny and charming I will be a fan for life.

Are they going to bring back Merlin and Legend of the Seeker?

Posted on Jan 17, 2010 5:02:58 PM PST
Season 2 of Merlin just finished a few weeks ago on BBC and Legend of the Seeker is 8 episodes into season 2... and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere the Merlin has been renewed for a third season...
