Amazon App Store Wont Recognize my Amazon account on new tablet

I just purchased a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet running AOS 4.1.1, and have installed the Amazon App store to get things I've already purchased on to it. But the App refuses to acknowledge my Amazon account and password when I try to log in. Its working just fine with my Galaxy S3 phone and laptop computer, but the App Store on the tablet constantly tells me its not a valid email address and/or password. I even tried to do a password reset and it tells theres no record of my email address.

I'm 100% sure I'm using the right one--its listed in my phone and I have dozens of emails from Amazon sent to that account verifying purchases from both the App store and regular online store.

Any ideas why the tablet refuses to acknowledge my info completely?? Pretty frustrated....

No idea at all. I have a number of Samsung tablets and Amazon app store is installed on all of them and they work just fine.

I'd give Amazon support a call.

Bizarre. Was just about to call them and I tried one last time and it connected instantly. Must have just been a glitch on their end, but things are rolling fine. Computers are great, can't wait until they work consistently. =)

whenever i have purchased a new internet device such as a computer, an iphone, an ipad, etc, i have a temporary problem
establishing contact with stores, e-mail and so forth. i believe this is because of security. these sites not only require a
password and id but they also need to recognize the device being used. they are usually unable to do this with new devices.
the site you are trying to sign in on doesn't recognize new devices and the device has to be verified as legitimate. i recently
purchased an iphone and had to verify the device before i could access my e-mail. in this case, hot mail asked a security question
and e-mailed a one time code to be used if security question failed to work. i believe there is an exception with amazon and kindle
because amazon registers your kindle and you tell amazon it is not a gift. in some cases, customer service may have to be contacted.

I've only run into this in three cases. First, that I'd exceeded the number of allowed devices on my account. The fix was to remove devices from my account that I was no longer using. Second, when I picked up a second hand Kindle Fire HD. A call to Amazon had me fixed up in less than a day. And finally, the third is a random disconnect like the one Andrew mentioned. For a few hours when I first got a device, I couldn't log into my account with the Amazon app. Waited a little while, and it fixed itself.
