customer service number

what is the customer service number? I sent my book in more than enough time for them to get but it didnt get to KY until the 29th, Can anyone help with this number

or you can just go to Help (upper right corner, above "Wish List" button), click it, click "Contact Us" (right side column) and fill in all the info they ask (is not rocket science, just like 2, 3 questions), click "Phone Call Us" and there's even an option for Amazon to call you, and they'll have basically all the info ready to help (I believe that if you select this option they'll only ask for your email and full name as it appears on your acct)

I receieved a bad dvd...to return it is going to cost me about the same as I pd for it. How is that a good return policy? I'm a Prime Member. Is there no other solution?

Yes there is, at least there is for me. There's a yellow "Contact Us" button about half-way down on the right side of the Help page. It doesn't even matter what browser you use. So, if you're really not seeing it, I'd start to wonder if something is up with your browser.

What does the tracking number say about the package?
Have you contacted Amazon directly about this? I've found that they're actually very good about it when a package doesn't arrive, but they do need to actually be informed of the fact. Also, if it's a Marketplace purchase from a third-party seller, you need to notify the seller as well and give them a chance to refund without a claim being filed against them or whatever.
Honestly, if an item never arrives, and you don't let anyone know about it, that's basically on you. People can only really be expected to act at all if they're aware of the situation. Posting about it on the customer forums does not count for informing them either. This is not a way to contact the company.

Please see the several previous comments in this thread giving the CS phone number, or you can go to "Help" and use the "Contact Us" function, which despite a previous post, is truly not rocket science. Choose the options seemingly closest to what you need, even if it's not quite right, and then explain the actual issue on the phone, in the e-mail, or whatever.

As of 11/27/12, "Help" is now on the top-middle of a page (as a matter of fact, look at the top of this page, after the "Today's Deals / Gift Cards / " tabs. After you're in the "Help" page, look under the "Self-Service" box on the right, the last item should be the yellow "Contact Us" button. I've just used it this morning, and the assistance was as good as it should be.

Or, just call 1-866-216-1072, then give the representative your Order Number. If the person is unable to answer your questions, ask for a manager, or call back / call again later to talk to another person.
