I hope someone answers this question. I need the access code. I've already purchased the text and the lab manual

most books will not have that code
unless you bought it new from a bookstore at the university

Beware. I just rented a book and I received a new edition and on the front of the book it says "includes online access code in big yellow letters. I get the access code and create an account. I'm now looking at the front on the book and I realize there is more writing "Not returnable if code is redeemed". Waiting to hear if I now cannot return my rented book because I used the online access code.

Could you let us know if you were able to return the book?
I'm in the same situation and want to know if I should redeem the code on a rental or not...the access code hasn't been scratched off yet

I ended up purchasing the book because I didn't want to pay rental fees and then end up purchasing it.
They did tell me that I could return it and they would send another one. I work in healthcare and thought the book was worth buying. The information from the access code wasn't anything that you couldn't find in the book. My suggestion to you is don't access the code. You may end up buying the book and the code isn't worth it.
