I have The Snowman: A Harry Hole Novel and The Leopard: A Harry Hole Novel on my library waiting list. Hopefully I will finish this paperback just as The Snowman becomes available.

James - I also got the Redbreast for the discounted price, that's what started all this 'I must read more of them!'. I bought the next two for the kindle, paid 7.99 for the paperback of Redeemer, and the two latest are free from the library, so for me, I've spent $30 on six books. I am ok with $5 per book average. Now I'm just worried I'll want to re-visit them again someday and I won't have the latest two in my collection. I hope Miss Mitford is right and they will go on sale when the next book is released.

Thanks for the info, Miss Mitford. I'll watch for them.

Redbreast has been on sale before (I picked it up on Jan 3, 2012 for $1.99), maybe it will be reduced again when the next book "Phantom" is released in October...?
Really am astounded that for such a popular author they can't square away all the publication rights and offer the full series for Kindle.

BTW, the first two in the Hole series to date have not yet been offered in English, according to the author's website the first should be coming later this year.

Thanks for the recommendation, Jules. I assume you read them in English translation and are satisfied with the translation as well.

I'm always on the lookout for new authors and series and the Jo Nesbo Harry Hole books look interesting. Unfortunately, the publisher of the US edition, HarperCollins, has not only failed to make the entire series available to US Kindle readers but has also priced them at $9.99 each which will probably discourage many readers from buying them. I put the first book, The Redbreast, on my ereaderiq price watch list. If the price drops, I'll give it a try.

Thanks again for the recommendation.

Thanks for the recommendation of Indridason, I just finished Jar City: A Reykjavík Thriller and really enjoyed it. I got the paperback for The Redeemer yesterday, so now I can get back to Harry Hole. I've got more Indridason on my wish list tho!

mightymac - to my knowledge they were not available in paperback in Australia at the time.
It's only in the past 12 months or so that I have seen them in the large chainstores.

mightymac - I bought Redeemer a while ago for my kindle (middle of last year I think)

Arnaldur Indridason - also writes similar mystery/thrillers if you are interested

I only just discovered this series recently, and really enjoy them. But I quickly went through the first three:
The Redbreast (Harry Hole)
Nemesis (Harry Hole)
The Devil's Star

and the next one Redeemer is not kindlized? Yet the three following that are.

I guess it's back to dtb for me, I just can't skip one in a series....I hate when that happens.

Anyone know why one book would not be available for kindle? I have clicked the request for the publisher, and I can see that it's available in the UK....just wondering if there's a logical reason.
