I read a book years ago about a girl who moves into different times when she looks into mirrors. I seem to remember the mirrors being in the attic of an elderly relative, and this was a children's novel. Does this sound familiar to anyone who might have any idea what the title or author might be? Thanks.

The only ones that come to mind are "Mirror of Her Dreams" and "A Man Rides Through" by Stephen R. Donaldson.

Yep, The Mirror by Marylis Millheiser. I loved this book. I don't think it was a children's novel, but I read it as a young adult.

I have been trying to remember this book also! (I think)... It drives me crazy that I cannot remember... In this book, which is definitely a children´s book, she travels around 100 years back, she is in the same house but she has to clean, milk the cows, etc... and there was definitely something *dark* there. Is this the same book?

Yes, It sounds like the same book. The Mirror by Marylis Millheiser. It isn't a children's book. I read it when I was a teenager and I still have a copy. I found the book a few years ago on Amazon.com.
