Hi i want to know if someone has baought this item:

I dont want to buy the product from the featured merchant, because it is very expensive in comparison to the other sellers (wich i am interested in buying from one of them) but i dont know if they are secure merchants since this figure has a bootleg already, so, I want to know if someone already had bought this item.

I don't really put much stock in featured sellers over others. Read the feedback for all the sellers (not the item feedback), and compare prices, including shipping, and decide that way. This item is also for the Japanese version of the console, (or one that has been modded to play NTSC-J) just in case you missed that.

Caution - since most of these places ship direct from Japan, beware of return times, and in particular, Amazon's requirement under the A to Z guarantee for a full refund on software:

* Media items (for example, movies, music, video games, and software) must be unopened and still in their plastic wrap

And use a credit card. When all else fails, sometimes this is the last line of defense.

Now that you mention it...I don't understand the featured seller vs. other sellers on Amazon. Does someone understand that or is it explained somewhere? Why are some sellers "featured sellers" and other seller not? I have seen the non-featured sellers with far greater positive rankings. Does it mean they sell less than the other sellers?

I'm wondering about that too. And why does the featured seller have such a crazy high price in this case? I'm wondering if they get the featured spot for this item, which I think makes them the default choice on the item page, and then jack up the price hoping to catch people just blind-clicking without checking prices.

Is that new? I just noticed it yesterday. It used to be they listed the person who had Prime at the top, if there was no Prime seller then they just all were listed in line of who was cheapest, with cheapest at the top and that becomes the main seller.

I noticed yesterday when I was shopping for something that one of the sellers who had it the cheapest was last on the list. They weren't a featured seller. Do you think these are new paid spots?

Here's the explanation. In a nutshell, they have to be signed up for the Pro Merchant account, and have a low rate of returns and excellent feedback. Criteria varies by category.

Oh wow! Thanks, D Raphael! Okay that makes total sense actually. I think I like that idea as a consumer then. Otherwise you don't know about who has a pro account or is just someone selling some items they happen to have and sometimes returns don't show in feedback because some sellers offer full credit IF they remove a negative review (and this is allowed). This gives me a bit more transparency as a shopper. Very interesting. Thanks for the clarification!

Is this new or did I just never notice it until recently? Maybe I typically shop for items with only pro sellers so I never noticed it?

(Incidentally, to clarify further for shoppers, the difference between a pro seller and non-pro seller is the non-pro pays a certain amount per item a dollar or something on top of the commission, and the pro seller pays $40 per month. I did know that part. So the non-pro seller usually sells less than 40 items per month. It's not a big fee to be a pro seller. You only pay $40 per month more than the non-pro seller. So you have to be a pretty small seller to not be able to justify the pro account. )
