Can a "Fan" voter undo their votes and cease being a fan?

TBR,
I don't understand the difference between what you are saying and what I am saying. I really don't understand what Charles is alluding to.
"Eventually, a Fan can cast an occasional vote and perhaps that vote can be toggled" is what I said above. Have you tried to give Chandler's reviews more than an occasional vote recently? Have you tried to vote on three or four reviews within a few minutes or even hours of each other?

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Depending on the kind of clock, and in what manner in which it is broken.

I can tell that this is a group of people who enjoy words, and word play! Very interesting indeed. I bet it's quite the eclectic group in person. Diversity makes the reviews even more wonderful ;-)
If we could just have Amazon add a "do-over" (perhaps call it a Balk) button to remove things you have changed your mind on, even months later. Since you can edit and update reviews, it seems possible.

does the balk count as a strike?

Whoops, I didn't look at page two before I posted. I hate when that happens.

Its a Mulligan, Charles.
Boy look at you now! Reviewer # 26,926 is it? 74% approval! Guess you gave up on the impossible dream of being the worst reviewer?
Welcome back!

Wow, Mr Scanlon, over 1200 reviews and over 4900 helpful votes... pretty impressive indeed. I feel humbled. I guess I better write more than a few a week if I want to aspire to the higher rankings (which I'm not so sure I will worry about) ;-) At this point I write because I enjoy it and feel the reviews are helpful.

I do think the helpful votes are nice, at least you know someone read your work. A confirmation of sorts that your time is appreciated.

Hey, I cracked the top 30,000, guess that counts as mildly successful as a writer ;-)

Chandler says:
Don't try and act like you weren't following me in other ways too, Tim. I saw that car with the headlights off driving past my house when I moved up in rank....Everyone thinks I removed my photo and real name when Zarin began stalking me...noooo, it was TIM!

(disclaimer: sarcasm for those who have not realized my love of sarcasm by now)

Thanks for the sane explanation, Tim. I was worried there for a moment that I was tempted to decipher the original.

That's funny, Chandler. My girlfriend also called me a stalker recently. Well... she's not really my "girlfriend." Not yet, that is. ~

Chandler,

I think it's time you ditched the yoga classes and signed on for Krav Maga, if you're going to stay in that #1 hot-seat :-). You might want to get the chickens involved, too. Kung Fu Silkies! Who needs a Panda! As far as Timothy goes, keep your nose down wind for the hint of cigar smoke...LOL.

"Not yet, that is."

Not *ever* if you keep stalking her.

D'oh!
