Hello all, I was wondering if there was a way to get notified that someone has made a comment on your review. I just recently was going through some of my reviews and realize there were comments and I could have been more helpful to the person if I had known they left a comment. I've searched around the profile, email, account and review area and didn't find anywhere to set up email alerting. If there isn't a way, does it make sense to have it?

Regards,
K. Conner

First of all, make sure you are logged in ('Your Amazon.com').

When you've finished writing your review, at the bottom of the 'type your review in the space below' field, tick the box 'receive email when customers comment on your reviews'.

You can do this before you write your next review. Go to your profile page - 'Public Reviews written by You'; click the 'edit review' button and, as above, tick the box 'receive email when customers comment on your reviews'.

I'm not too sure, but I think once you have activated this feature, you will receive email alerts for ALL of your reviews.

when you create a thread or post on the forum there is a box below that says "Receive e-mail when new posts are made"

When creating a review for a product just click on the box at the bottom of the review that will enable you to get emails for comments posted on reviews. Once I checked it and posted a review, it defaulted me to have all reviews have comments mailed to me.

whenever you get a comment mailed to you, if you ever want to unsubscribe to email comments, just click the link below the person's comment to stop getting email notifications.

edit
lol Colin I posted 4 seconds after you . Beat me to the punch

Jason - it happens; but between us, we should have pointed the OP in the right direction.

I think we did... I mean the only way I ever saw how to set up email alerts on reviews was to enable it when doing a review. Same with disabling it again you actually have to have a comment mailed to you. Seems silly as they should just put this as an option in your review section of the account but instead all you have is an option to view/edit/delete reviews

Thanks Colin and Jason. Interesting I did not have the checkmark capability on reviews. I did review on some velcro straps just to see and the only checkmark option below the review was for the "(NEW!)Label this review so customers know you purchased this item at Amazon." I started looking around and thought maybe I had already turned on the feature so I looked at a previous review and sure enough it showed I had tracking turned on. However I have never received a comment alert from Amazon, though obviously I do get all other amazon emails (only one email account). So, I cancelled receiving email alerts and turn it back on just now when I wrote another review to see if it was some sort of glitch or possibly has been going to my junk mail. Would someone be so kind as to comment on one of my reviews so, I can see if it is working or going to my junk folder?

Thanks,
K. Conner

"Interesting I did not have the checkmark capability on reviews."

But you do, don't you?

Are you sure you have it notifications going to your correct email address? (The potential exists on Amazon for separate emails.)

Thanks for Commenting on a review Jason. It must have been a glitch because your comment alert went straight to my email inbox this time.

I'm also having trouble seeing the check box to enable comment alert, would someone also respond to one of my review to check if I can receive email tracking of responds to my reviews? Thanks!

One other point, you can also list your reviews in order of last comment made.

I posted a comment on your headphone review.

Thanks, and I got the email alert for your comment.

Looks like once you enable the email alert/notification it won't have that check box again for future reviews. To opt out you just have to follow a link from a email alert you already received.

Thank you, Colin Spence. I always wondered how to get the email alerts. I did what you said. It works.... Funny, I've never noticed that option before. Before, I had been checking my reviews for comments. It's too time consuming, but I hate to ignore comments and questions directed to me....unless the person is being rude. Rudeness, I now ignore. So be it. Everyone has a right to their opinions.

Great and helpful advice, all.

Another way to check on your comments is to go to your profile page. Click on "See all (number) reviews" at the bottom of your three highlighted reviews. Now go back to the top of the list, right under "Public Reviews Written by You" and click on the drop down menu and change the default from "Most recent reviews" to Most recent comments", click GO! and you will see only the reviews that people have left comments on.

It hope that this has helped.

This was very helpful - I'd never done this check before. Thanks for the tip!

In an email that I received notifying me of comments make to one of my reviews, I accidently clicked "Stop tracking comments on all your reviews."

Holy smokes --I'm an Amazon review fanatic. I like reading them and I love writing them. Doesn't anybody know how turn the comments back on? I trieding posting and comment and the the box "Receive e-mail when new posts are made" was missing!

I'd be interested in seeing the checkbox show up every time you edit a review.

I just wrote a review and didn't see the check box to alert me of comments. The only box that is available for me to check is the one to verify that the purchase was made on amazon. I've also went into an old review to edit it and didn't see the box there either. Am I doing something wrong. I've used both FireFox and IE as well as Safari on my iPad still nothing.

Lynn, some of the prior posts on this thread may help you.

I suggest: After your review has posted on the product page, click Comment at the bottom. You will see an activation box "Track comments by email."

If this doesn't work, then YOU write the first comment, and select "Receive email when new posts are made."

Hi there,
Thanks for the info folks! This certainly is a gap in Amazons programming, its terrible that there are not better notification systems. Anyways... Here is how I like to handle this whole thing - Bookmarks! I'm running off Firefox, which has the great bookmark-navigation dropdown function to open all bookmarks in the folder. Here are what I'm finding most important (customer service wise)

Manage and authorize returns
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/returns/

Messages not responded to in the last 14 days:
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/communication-manager/inbox.html?_encoding=UTF8&addnFilter0=rs&clcmResponseTimeSuboptions=u&dateFilter=14d

Unread Amazon Notifications
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/customer-experience/perf-notifications.html/ref=ag_cxperform_cont_srcusmet?ie=UTF8&selection=unread

And overall customer feedback.
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/seller-rating/pages/feedback-manager.html/

Open these all at once, and you'll have a quick overview of everything.

One thing about thread resurrection - you see a lot of names that have disappeared over the years. I didn't notice the date at first and then - bam - there's Jason Kirkfield. I immediately look at the date after that. Jason Ralsky, Colin Spence, Timothy B. Riley - gone, but, thanks to Kombucha, not forgotten.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 22, 2014 8:24:35 PM PST
Yeah whatever happened to Jason Kirkfield? He used to control the whole forum. Vanished into thin air.
