I have noticed a number os the books I read on my kindle have weird symbols ans misspllings does anyone else have this problem?

It happens a lot. I'm reading Steve Wick's THE LONG NIGHT: WILLIAM L. SHIRER AND THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH and, while it's a very interesting book, there are multiple times per page when words are broken up by spaces in the middle and it's distracting. No weird symbols or spelling errors in this book, but I've seen it in plenty of other books.

misspellings :)

Yeah I see that a lot especially in self-published books. I've edited
a few Kindle books and it wasn't pretty.

It's secret code.
Only a select few know what these important life instructions are telling us to do.

Don't worry, we will try to save those of you who have yet to "crack the Kindle code" when the time comes to use it.

ooops I wasn't supposed to say that out loud.

My bad.

Carry on as though nothing ever transpired here...go now in peace....

I've seen that code myself. I'm working to crack it, but it's tough. Chandler is so much smarter than me in these things. Oh wait, I wasn't supposed to see that comment. You can ignore mine too.

A lot of people don't understand how to write clean HTML
for a Kindle book. I myself had to take a class to learn
all the details. A class costs about $80 and many
authors just don't have the money. I have seen sites
that will transform your book into a Kindle book but
that costs a minimum of about $100. Some authors
try to produce a Kindle book from Microsoft Word
and have less success. If you are ever able to
contact any of these authors send them to
my blog - find info at my profile. I show people
how to write a Kindle book.

There are a few things I really can do. :) Besides
write reviews I mean. Thank you.
