I understand what some of you are saying about the partners of outgoing HOH not competing. But I think that would have put the vets at too much of a disadvantage since they had started the game with less people and then they lost Evil Dick. I think the way they're doing it helps to even things out between the two sides.

hahaha what kind of cereal Jay? I always ate Cheerios.

I wasn't allowed to eat candy as a kid so I never really got hooked on any of it. I like Red Vines though. :)

I think Cassie is gone. Too bad Jordan didn't nominate Rachel. I'm so tired of her. She acts so tough but then literally goes into the bushes to cry when someone stands up to her. Ridiculous.

Sad Poem

I loved you too

So many thoughts,
I don't know where to begin,
I'll start from my heart,
and what I feel within.

I still have feelings,
which haven't changed,
because when you left me
my life was re-arranged.

I used to cry
so many times a day,
but lately those tears
have been fading away.

I am hoping that
my brighter day soon will come,
and maybe, just maybe,
I'll find that special someone.

Yes, it's been hard,
but I'm getting back my life,
I've even managed
to put away the knife.

I will find someone
who's right for me,
who loves me
and lets me be all I can be.

Yet the thought of you and her,
is tearing me apart,
because you will always have a special place
in my broken heart.

Do I still love you?
Yes, I do,
but another part of me
is getting over you.

I never thought I would say this,
but I simply have to confess,
with each and every day that goes by,
I love you less and less.

I just wanted to be with you,
but now you're gone,
and the time has come
for me to move on.

You meant so much to me,
in fact, you still do,
from the bottom of my heart,
I loved you too.

Yeah, Rachel was being annoying. But strategically, she figured she and Jeff can't have the vets ticked off at them...just yet. They need to "pick off" more people on the newbies side before they turn on each other. At this time, it's still a numbers game.

This is my first big brother season...I must say that I think the cast is absolutely awful. It is impossible for me to decide who I want to lose most. It would be awesome if no one could win. The show itself isn't that bad but the cast is making I almost unwatchable for me. Has it always been this bad?

In reply to an earlier post on Jul 24, 2011 12:29:37 PM PDT
Hi Dave.

I agree with you that the casting is horrible. IMHO, it is getting worse every year. I still remember the first season where it consisted of normal folks. Now, they're casting it with people with "outrageous" personalities and it is hard to like most of them. Also, it has become more like the show "Survivor" where they try to put in the yick factor by putting people on slop and having gross foods competitions. They've also started putting the "have nots" in a horrible bedroom area which I think is stupid.

Despite the horrible casting, the show is addictive. I find that I always have to stick it out for the first few shows before I really get into it. I guess I end up getting used to the new personalities without realizing it. But it is definitely a lot of fun to watch and discuss. If you can, hang in there for a bit longer. And come and chat with us after each show. :)

@Liz: >>"Not to mention the pretty factor. Sure they throw in someone like Adam so us normal folks don't feel so ugly but really it's become a beauty contest."<<

I totally agree, Liz.

Kelly, When they switched from the public voting people out to the houseguests doing it, that def. made it more like Survivor but at least unpopular people can still win HOH & a smaller alliance can fight back against a larger one in Big Brother. I think it's better. When the public did the voting out, you could almost tell by week 3 who would ultimately win.

I think Survivor has gotten away from the "Yik" factor a lot. I think they copied it from Fear Factor & to my knowledge Fear Factor has died so maybe they got the message that people aren't that into it anymore. Survivor has them living in harsh enviroments with very little & they reward winners with good stuff. Big Brother has contestants live in luxury & penalize looses. It's almost the exact opposite.

I think you'd have to be 1/2 nuts to sign up for the "invasion of privacy" that goes with either one. I think you'd almost have to be doubly nuts to sign up for Survivor esp. unless you have actual survival skills. Some seasons where they show the kinds of wildlife "sharing thier" space makes me cringe.
