I just recently discovered the Canadian series Being Erica and Lost Girl. I am curious is there are other shows that might be broadcast in other countries (Canada, UK) that I might not know about. Suggestions on lesser known shows for a woman? Thanks!

Don't know how old you are, but I'm 29. I enjoyed the earlier seasons of Degrassi: The Next Generations (seasons 1-6) I think it's in season 9 or 10 now. Also, I think Flashpoint is one of the best tv shows ever. It's a canadian show that aired on CBS in USA and now airs on ion.

'The Lying Game' ABC Family
'The End Game' HULU Love this show! About a man who is afraid to go out of the hotel he lives in because he saw his fiance get killed. So, he is trying to 1) solve her murder through various women friends and a young man who help him (just friends!) and 2) other people come to him for help and these same people help him solve their problems. Very charming show! HULU.com

Good luck! It's hard to find good series. I like the ones L. Housely wrote of, also...

Dating Rules from my Future Self (6 min. mini-eps)

L.: 'The Lying Game' is about highschool girls and their parents. It's a mystery about twin girls who haven't been raised together who are trying to figure out how they got where they are and it's getting them into some trouble. It's been fun to watch. Kinda of a young adult thriller/mystery.

I know what it's about. And the books are written by the same woman who writes the pretty little liars books. I just didn't find the previews interesting.

"Strange" was a good supernatural type show with a british cast, I watched it once on chiller but haven't been able to find it since, if you have a chance to watch it, give it a shot.
"Demons" & "Red Dwarf" on BBC
"Mighty Boosh" was pretty funny if like the style, also british
