Hi, I just purchased a plush, loosely-looped wool area rug that sheds a lot. I have read that I should use a vacuum either with no brush bar (like a stick vac), or a brush that can be turned off.
My house is mostly hardwood floored, so I really only need the vac for this rug.
I would like to find something bagless, with good suction for under $100. Can anyone recommend anything?
Thanks in advance, LA

Hello. If you are not in to "status" and bragging how much you paid- I highly recommend Eureka 3670G Mighty Mite Canister Vacuum by Eureka at under $65.00. I have a 20 yr old mighty mite still in use- bags got very hard to find and I'd used it so much the plastic tubing was at an angle (worn down lol) I used it for cleaning ppls houses and sucking up hairballs from 3 or more Pekingese dogs and 3 birds for years. I finally broke down and bought the 3670G a month or two ago. - I suggested this model to a friend a year ago (she has a cat) and she LOVES it- but paid $10.00 more for it at the time. This unit will do walls, hard floors, indoor/outdoor rugs and others- there is no beater bar for things to get stuck in but there are bristled attachments - oh also it has a rear blower to blow matter out from under furniture you don't move. I use that to blow out dust from computer and cabling. This is good for car, closets, stairs, small spaces- you can't lose. good luck!

I need to add it does use bags however yet- having used both kinds for this tank vac the bags are large, hold a lot- and are quite easy to swap out.
