I figured that I would make a thread of spoilers and hints, to cycle information freely amongst all of us and might be helpful to some people. KoA:R seems to be quite popular here, so people can just throw up some hints, tricks, and spoilers without worry.

I'll cast the first stone:

You can find another bag for 7,500 gold in Ysa (have to complete the quest chain first in order to get access to the city). You can buy the bag in Asker's Alley from Riona Helt. I figured this one would be pretty handy for people to know.

I want all the extra bag space I can get my hands on at the moment.

I know the feeling....the potions take up almost half of my current carrying space.

If you are looking for some solid Might build gear (early on) I suggest playing through the Warsworn....Quest rewards include a really nice great sword and armor piece.

The three bags upgrades I've found thus far were Gorthal, Ysa, and Rathir (Scholar Arcania merchant, 8k w/mercantile). I haven't poked around Iron Keep or the other big desert town too much yet though, trying to get my quests caught up.

***Spoilers***
As for spoilers and Warsworn, did anybody choose to be the demon host or whatever and what did you get for it? I figured you'd probably end up with a different twist of fate than the Truesworn one you end up getting.

**********»> SPOILER <«************

I'm wondering what kind of different twist of fate that you score if you decide to side with the Maid of Windmere, or if it remains the same if you end her then and there (I opted for this).

The idea of ruling with her was appealing, but I just decided to end her because it was a tough fight. I really, really enjoyed this questline immensely, and the lead up to the finale was truly amazing.

I also thought about that as well. I was tempted to do the save then make a decision then load and try the other one trick but i just could never remember in time. I pretty much made the same decisions you did.

Glad to hear theres a backpack in ysa and rathir. Guess im going back and scouring every merchant. This game is so damn massive that if you don't talk to every npc you will miss things like this. Im cleaning up some random quests in the areas W of Rathir then im going to start on the Travelers storyline. Stealing crap seems pretty fun. I already own a mining colony in Detyre and killed a noble for a crooked mayor now im looking for some more carnage i can do.

***Spoilers***
I finished up the travelers, warsworn, and the mage dudes. I'd be interested to hear the alternatives. I went the good route for the warsworn, discipline for the mages, and framed the girl with the travelers. The warsworn and mage twist of fate were both pretty decent for might/sorcery but siding with grim for the travelers didn't do much for a non-finesse character. Now on to the tons of quests in my log...

Good to know about Grim and the Travelers, as I'm a pure sorcery build.

Thanks, mate.

Going bad on the warsworn side gives you +10 physical damage, +1 might, and +something else (resist maybe?). I'm glad I went good, as I'd rather have the 10% to those demon thingies instead.

Anyone feel the Balor was exceptionally easy? I only lost about 10-20% HP if I got hit with the eye, and finished it on hard difficulty with only using one minor healing potion at the start of the fight...

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 13, 2012 4:41:32 AM PST
I thought the same, but I also Fate Shifted to kill him so......

Posted on Feb 13, 2012 4:50:43 AM PST
I'm playing on normal, and I suspect I'm grossly over-leveled, but I take zero sustained damage from anything. I'm at level 32, ~1,400 armor in sylvanite, ~900 HP, keep the fae gorta summoned to heal me, and switch between a couple of prismere greatswords with ~240 base damge. Survivability aside a boss might take 4 standard hits and more likely one or two if I'm fateshifted. I was blocking everything the Balor was hitting me with and it was hurting less than a champion sprite attack so it does seem a little under-tuned.

I just finished that up last night and I'm pretty sure I finished every quest I could find or complete on the other side of the water. So far I think I have a little over 40 hours and 120 something quests. I'm beginning to greatly doubt their 200 hour speed run claims. Not that I enjoy the game any less but I absolutely don't see putting 200 hours in to this for 100% completion.

Right before I killed him I went to reckoning mode, popped a master XP potion, and after the death I think I got somewhere around ~32,000 experience from the kill.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 13, 2012 5:21:11 AM PST
I keep forgetting about the XP potions I have...

I am starting to build up my Sagecraft and smithing....My detect hidden is high enough (right now) and I want to start making quality equipment...

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 13, 2012 5:24:58 AM PST
Being able to see those lorestones is awesome though. I like the permanent bonuses they give. I might have to start farming them for awhile.

I plan on maxing out Detect Hidden, Sagecraft and crafting (smithing)...I love seeing those little treasure boxes on my map....

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 13, 2012 5:36:39 AM PST
It definitely helps! Persuasion does too. I didn't even have to fight the nithkaru lord at the end of the warsworn quests. The guy didn't summon him since I convinced him not to.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 13, 2012 5:40:02 AM PST
My Persuation is about halfway through the second group (level 6?) My Blacksmith and sagecraft are still pretty low, but I'm starting to put points into them....I want Badazz equipment.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 13, 2012 5:41:40 AM PST
Make sure you get the points from trainers. Respec, don't level up, go to all the trainers to get what you can, then level up your skills. I have at least 2 in everything as my base now, which saves me quite a bit of points.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 13, 2012 5:47:11 AM PST
Thanks...I've only used the trainer for backsmithing I guess I will have to search out the other trainers....

Has anyone made it across the body of water yet? Or is that only for later in the main quest?

Main quest lets you cross. That's when the fun starts :) The story got really good around there. I liked the events.

I hate this thread, I don't want to read it because I know I'm not as far as most of you guys but it's difficult when this is getting more action than the no spoilers thread!

It's tough to talk about the game without giving anything away ;)

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 13, 2012 5:53:04 AM PST
I don't think anyone has said too much in their reveals....

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 13, 2012 5:54:31 AM PST
After Travelers and the house of Ballads I may have to put in some time on the Main Quest....I've been all over the left side of the map (thank you Warsworn) and I'm pretty excited to see what the right side has to offer...
