It sucks. I don't recommend it. Clocked in at 9am...clocked out at 11pm. And have to be back at 9am. Ugh.

I can sympathize. I have had to work longer shifts than that before (salary :/ ) and it was never fun. Hopefully you don't have a long commute on top of that.

Blows. I unfortunately have to pull several 7 to 7's a week, but those ''getting out at 10 pm's'' come around once a month when the work piles up. They really suck the life out of you.

Had to do that when I worked at the book store, for the release of the last Harry Potter book. Went in sometime in the mid afternoon and didn't leave until four in the morning.

I still do that around Christmas time. December is basically hard labor, up until the 24th. It gets back to normal after that.
I hate doing it, but the extra money is too good to pass up :)

I'm working too damned early and on a Saturday, with something like three hours of sleep due to sudden oneset of insomnia. I'm probably gonna be a tad short with any spammers that come my way. lol

When I was a senior in high school I wanted to save money for college and to buy a new car. I was working 2 jobs on top of school. Weekends were the worst as I worked job 1 from 730-430 and then job 2 from 5-11. I'm glad those days are far behind me but at least I reached my goals!

Worked for 2 months last year like that. 8 30-11 everyday and that included weekends for one of those months.

Used to work at a prison a while back, once worked 10 days straight, 4 days were 16hr shifts, the rest was 12hr shifts.

Once, as a rent-a-cop, pulled a 20hr shift. Scheduled to work 4pm-12am, was asked to report in early at 12pm to supervise someone moving into an apartment, reported to normal shift at 4pm, worked until 12am, it was my turn to work OT since the next shift called in sick, mandatory 4hrs, but train didn't run again for several hours, stayed until 8am. I called in sick the next day, exhausted, so I ended up only getting 4hrs OT out of it, the rest was regular pay. Oops.

I certainly have. When I worked 3 jobs I also went over 2 months without a day off. I eventually had to request the same day from all three jobs. I also used to have a job that was 12 hour shifts without exception. The difference was I enjoyed that job.

I wouldn't really mind working those kinds of hours at my current job, problem is, it's a temp job that's over when we run out of work.

I do that and more. Did it for 6 months straight in Iraq until the surge happened and everything died down and now I'm doing it in Afghanistan. It sucks, deal with it. I do for my wife and son and it gets me through the day, I'm sure you have your reasons as well.

Used to do it three days in a row and then I got four days off; Thursdays were always recuperation days.

Painful stuff.

I had to when I was working at a computer manufacturer. Yes it is very tough. And they did everything they could to make it not overtime.

When the Sikorsky line first started up, clock-in was at seven. QAs, testers, engineers and a handful of pitiful builders worked till eleven at night. Six days a week. For three months.

I'm only clutching to that horror story because I'm being forced into ten-hour days thanks to President's Day. Makes me slightly less pissed.

I used to work 7 on 7 off. At the end of those 7 days on, I had between 90-100 hours logged. That was in my younger days and I could handle it LOL.

Sometimes I have to stay after hours when network maintenance is due at job. Those days I usually clock in at 8:00am and leave at 1:00am the following day.
