Thanks for the free points, Microsoft.

A pity that the other console makers don't have a program like this.

Is that all from Bing? I tried to set it up here at work, but it wouldn't function properly. :-/

I should probably get on some of those surveys in the Reward program, though.

Good for you. :) What'd you pick up?

Yeah, I hadn't bought anything from Xbox Live since the countdown sale so I was hoarding points. My wife also cashed out $10 worth of points from her Bing account as well.

Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone (I already had the first game)

X-Men Arcade

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Hard Corps: Uprising

X-Men Arcade is awesome. If I still had Gold, I'd play with you.

I don't have an Xbox so we are evenly matched. The Star Wars systems should be out soon though.

You've got me revved up for free stuff again. I'm clicking on random links and earning two cents with each click. Aw yeah.

I was insanely addicted to Hard Corps: Uprising for a while. The Rising mode is great and there's a nice little area in one of the later stages that you can farm for points if you want the easy way out in terms of leveling your characters. The DLC character Sayuki (I think that's her name?) is also really awesome. When you use her it's like playing a modern day Strider game.

2cents per click?!?

Kirksplosion says:
Per. Click.

Almost up to a dollar.

So now that I've exhausted the "Discover" options in the Reward program, is web searching 20 times each day the only thing left?

...and lots of games i want to buy.Been slacking, have to get my farm on.

I could get myself 3 $1 Indie games though.

As far as I know unless you want to enslave minions and make them sign up with referrals but that is more effort than it is worth. You should end each day with 10 points plus however much you get from a featured search (for me it is 3 points so I get 13 points per day.) Every 9 days or so I have enough to cash out for 100 points.

Lol,... that's three of the four games I'm planning on picking up tonight. Replace Hard corps with leadmees though... I only have 1500 right now... I'm hoping I'll be able to get 125 before the weeks end though...

Featured search?

So $1 every nine days...that's American Nightmare by June 30!

Who am I kidding? I'll hang on to them until a good deal comes along.

Its the very first search available each day. 'Earn 3 points 'will be under the red highlighted points total on your Bing page , that refreshes each day. Click on that before you do any searches each day.

For me I have three accounts that I "farm" off of. My account, my wives, and my dads... I know all three of the passwords so I just log in every day and make sure they are all getting their searches done.

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 13, 2012 2:46:23 PM PDT
Yes, that little number that shows how many credits you have? Click on that once or twice and you should see a featured search worth a handful of points. It works out to $1.25 every 9 days but I use my points to buy games on sale from the Deal of the Week or publisher sales like the one from Konami that is currently going on. That way it works out to about a free game a month. My wife also gives me her points so I usually have 400 points every two weeks.

Too bad I can't just pay for Gold with this.

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 13, 2012 2:50:06 PM PDT
You can but the exchange rate is not worth it in my opinion. I think it is 900-1000 points for a month of Gold.

Yeah.. It'd take 77 days of farming per month of gold. Just to keep it level you'd need to have like 3 accounts farming for you. If you convert it, that's $8 worth of points per one month of live.

Posted on Mar 13, 2012 2:51:37 PM PDT
Yeah, I just checked. 1 month of Gold is 999 points. Better off just getting MS points for games in my opinion. The Amazon gift cards aren't too bad. You can get a $5 gift card for 525 points.

Kirk, if its too much work...just consider doing the minimum can net you a free game from the Indie section here and there. There are actually a few pretty good cheap games in there.

I've never quite bought full $10-$15 games off of points, but when the AW DLC went on sale my Bing points paid for that, paid outright for some Forza car packs, adding a few dollars worth of points completed my required funds with balances i had for several XBLA titles, etc... They really come in handy to fix odd balances.

Any little bit helps.

I guess I'm mostly just thinking so I'll actually be -able- to get the best deals on Live.
