The company is now worth about $11 million. That is about the budget for the last Miley Cyrus movie.

I wonder if we're going to see 1983 all over again.

If so, you can go out and see Return of the Jedi in the theater.

Quick, let's pool together our money and buy THQ. Do it for the stick of truth!

Yeah but this time around it will have all these new special effects, a lame dance, and be in stupid 3D.

Did you look at the 5-day graph? Today is represented by a straight vertical line plunging downward. I assume that this in response to THQ's announcement that they were dissapointed by Darksiders II sales.

Wow, they're only worth 11 million? Buyout before the end of the week?

DVvM says:
They also pushed back every game in the hopper, suspended earnings guidance, didn't take questions in a conference call, and tapped an outside source in order to raise funds.

I don't know if it's possible to recover from this.

I hope they can convict uDraw of murder, because that ***** just killed THQ.

The only THQ game I was probably going to buy was Stick of Truth but I still feel bad about this. The game industry isn't doing as well as one would expect based on console sales.

Stick of Truth was made by Obsidian right?

Edit: Maybe I should keep my Darksiders 2 Wii U pre-order from Newegg. Wasn't gonna...

Couldn't the developers find another publisher?

I feel bad for Obsidian on this one. It's not like they did anything wrong here.

DVvM says:
There was a long series of chronic mismanagement on the part of THQ this generation. They invested heavily in licensed properties and didn't make a cent off of it.

If I recall correctly, this didn't get enough people fired.

Noooooooo. What about "Spongebob U Pants"?!?!??!

Look it up. Funniest game name ever.

I doubt the entire industry will tank because of this.

They need to only survive until Nov 7 when WWE 13 releases. That is if the hillbillies didn't give Romney all their money in recent times.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2012 9:19:16 AM PST
Yeah. So it's possible the license for the game will find its way to another publisher.

MrFoxhound says:
Yup, 11 million is pocket change to a company like Activision or EA.... Or Nintendo...? There are some THQ owned IP's that Nintendo might want to look into securing as exclusives on the Wii U.
