Here is a reminder of what that thing looks like:

Regular or XL?

Regular.

I want...

God damn that looks beautiful. They need to make an XL version of this, I'm looking to upgrade to the XL soon and I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

Well, the XL wasn't even out when this bundle was announced so it is *possible* an XL version is in the works. I just haven't heard or seen anything about that so I am assuming the answer is no.

Regular > XL

Your joking right?

Uncle Ulty says:
Why? I only ask because I was eventually thinking of purchasing the 3DS XL over the regular 3DS.

Oskar2525 says:
The XL is superior in every way, there is no reason to get the regular unless you like cramped hands.

Not at all - I've used both.

The original has a much better 3D effect; even the owner of the XL agreed.

The XL is actually TOO big - I put my 3DS in my pocket all the time and the original is almost too bulky for my front jeans pocket. The XL is far too big.

The two things the XL has on the original (battery life and screen size) are essentially non-issues to me.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 10, 2013 1:56:39 PM PST
Try them both - the XL obviously has a bigger screen and better battery life, but you're sacrificing portability and in my opinion, a better 3D effect.

I will have to disagree there, the XL has a much bigger sweet spot.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 10, 2013 1:58:42 PM PST
"Sweet spots" were almost the same for me or I didn't notice a difference, but I'm talking about the actual depth of the 3D. For reference, I played RE: Revelations on both with the default 3D depth in game and the sliders all the way up.

Uncle Ulty says:
Ok I will try em both. I will say that I don't think I will hardly ever use the 3D effect though so the XL might be better for me.

Dragon Quest VII, Fire Emblem 3DS, SMT IV, SMT Devil Summoner and hopefully Bravely Default have me seriously thinking about a 3DS in the near future.

I'm not terribly interested in the XL because my hands are tiny; bigger isn't always better.

I do admit that 3DS looks amazing...if I could pre-order it I definitely would.

--wait, I'm going to be in Japan soon, if I get a second 3DS I should get a Japanese one.

Whew.
