Weird, i don't consider myself a Sony faithful in any way, shape or form. I lack affinity for most the cast, yet i still find the game itself pretty damn fun.

A new Donkey Kong? First Nintendo copies Sony by working on Super Smash Bros. and now they're copying Ape Escape for the PS3? Does Nintendo have no shame?

Luigi's Mansion 2 will come out before next year's E3. A new Donkey Kong on 3DS will most likely be announced and maybe the first details of Pokemon 3DS as well.

It sucks I won't be able to play this game since I don't have a 3DS/Wii U

"And it's not like you can't play it online on a home console either, so I don't get it. "

What if you're traveling or have a long day on campus? You may not be at home but have a spare 15-20 minutes to play SSB online. Why not even if it is on a handheld?

HorizonBrave says:
To be honest, the 3DS online experience is as good as the netcode the game is using and how the developers have improved on it.
That said, I feel like buying stuff like Smash on a handheld console, even more so than any other fighting game, is just pushing it .. considering how fun it is offline. And it's not like you can't play it online on a home console either, so I don't get it.

But Sony Smash Brothers seems to work really well online, why wouldn't it on the 3DS, which people in this very thread have said has decent online?

J. Pardee says:
I would say it all depends on which games you like better. Super Smash Bros. was a fun game but I honestly never cared for over half of the characters in the game. PS All Stars is much better in my eyes because I actually enjoy the majority of the games that the characters are from.

HorizonBrave says:
Why would you ever consider buying a Smash game for the 3DS? Unless you're into playing games online when their offline performance is 450% better.
Aaaaaand that means stick with Brawl or Melee until you get a Wii U.

I never got Ultimate Stars, need to do that one of these days because it has Kenshiro and Raoh.

I'd be more excited for a 3rd Jump Superstars game. Jump Superstar > Smash Bros.

It's my opinion that most of them are incredibly mediocre, however I don't feel that way about all of them.

The game is decent on the Vita, but it's definitely optimized for PS3.

You're aware the game is available on the PS3 as well right?

You don't own a Vita though..

I think you should by all means continue to post your opinions. That's what these boards are about, and you're entitled to them. But when every opinion you have of a Sony exclusive is that it's mediocre, clunky, etc, forgive us for not giving it much weight...even if Metacritic agrees with you.

I don't either really, but all I'm saying is Sony could have probably thought of better fan service than ripping off Smash Bros. It screams laziness to me.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 14, 2012 11:56:12 AM PST
I don't find it insulting, I just don't care about any of these characters. I missed the entirety of the PS1 generation and liked the Xbox better than the PS2 last gen, so they do nothing for me. Like I've said before, it's a great game for the Sony faithful.

I'm aware there's a bunch of immature children here who stick their fingers in their ears and close their eyes when someone speaks ill of their favorite toy, but that's never going to stop me from posting my opinion.

I'm loathe to use Metacritic as some sort of quality gauge but I feel like it's the only to get through to some people on here. All I'm saying is other people agree with me as a 76 scored game isn't exactly setting the industry on fire.

It's so funny that he posted all that when no one is going to take him seriously.
