When the DS came out, there weren't a whole lot of games out...so I picked up Yoshi's Touch and Go....I never did get that lil' piece of my soul back lol...

I really can't remember the last game I regret buying. I think it would have to be SCV, and I only played 9.99$ for it.

The only game I've ever wanted my money back for purchasing is Sonic 4 Episode I, though I don't think it's necessarily the worst game I regret purchasing.

I would have to go with Little Big Planet, it came bundled with the PS3, just cannot get into it. I don't see the appeal about it.

Modnation Road Trip
Mortal Kombat Vita

Those two are the only ones coming to mind at the moment.

Metroid Prime 3. I didn't hate it at all. In fact, I thought it was a good game, but IMO, it was a MASSIVE disappointment compared to its predecessors. They turned Metroid into a corridor shooter with a dumbed down focus on exploration, art direction, soundtrack, level design, and overall gameplay. I've bought worse games than Prime 3, but to me, disappointment is worse than just being bad.

Two Worlds on 360. It was on day one and before any videos or reviews were up. Never been so disappointed in a game.

More recent, I got Rage at launch for PS3 and was very disappointed. Not terrible, just not very good. It's easily a bargain bin game.

Aku says:
I thought MP3 was much better than 2, mostly because it doesn't have that cheap "dark" world exploration, which felt much more corridor-y than most of 3's world.

How the hell was the gameplay dumbed down, though?

Probably Rage. The game was pretty good, but a lot shorter then I expected it to be.

Oh man, I got Yoshi Touch & Go, too. Played it once and never touched it again.

I also want my $15 back for World of Goo on WiiWare. I just don't understand all the raves for that one, but at least it taught me to never pay $15 for a downloadable game again.

I think the biggest regret I have is probably Doom 64. The Nintendo 64 was starving for new games when that game came out, and I bought it at Target for $75. Tried for two days to get into it, and then just went back to Super Mario 64 and never looked back.

... Classic Game Girl, you crack me up! I remember E.T. ... that sucker was completely unplayable. :D :D

Eh, I guess. MP3 didn't feel all that linear, but I wasn't a huge fan of how they implemented the backtracking.

In reply to an earlier post on Jul 13, 2012 7:17:34 PM PDT
That's another thing. Backtracking felt next to seamless in Metroid Primes 1 and 2, but in 3 it just felt forced and tedious IMO.

I didn't either for awhile either until I really started playing it. It is kind of fun just collecting all of the things and using them to make your own levels.
On topic: The latest game I regret buying was a used copy of TMNT for the NES that I got a while back. I only payed a dollar for it but can't get the dang thing to work in my console. Never played it and probably won't anytime soon until I feel like getting another one.

I'm pretty you just saved yourself a lot of grief and hatred, if that's the TMNT game I'm thinking of.

The games I downloaded to my Vita.

Good games, though.

Rogue Warrior for PS3, worst $60 I ever spent. I didn't even pop it in my PS3 to play it, would've made me feel dirty. :-(
