I don't get it. I keep getting RROD (overheating) during BF3 online. But only this game. I have tested with other games and they are all fine, and single player is fine as well.

I have the game installed to my hard drive, and that isn't helping. I thought it was just because of the DVD spinning but that doesn't really make sense either because other games are ok. Does BF3 make my machine run hotter than other games?

It's because the Xbox 360 just can't handle the awesomeness that is BF3.

If it's just the red rings, and not the RROD, it's usually a power issue, though there are likely other causes as well. Start with the simple things, check cables, and if you don't mind taking your case off, you should clean inside.

Red Rings of Death...

It is 2/4 red rings, not the full circle. I tried vacuuming out any dust (without opening the case) and checked the cables. The actual power brick feels kind of hot to me, could it be this and not the Xbox itself?

The power brick is always going to be hot.

2/4 usually means you don't have something plugged in right. Unplug your hard drive or if you have a slim take it out, blow in the system with an airsol can or your breath plug back in securely. Check audio/hdmi cables, plug the brick in and out of the system.

E74 error usually means your wires are fried or your system is crazy dusty. E74 error can happen without the rings going red. 1 Ring usually means the E74 error if it does go red. 3 rings is a hard drive failure. 2 is not bad. I have no idea what 4 means.

If this still happens - uninstall the game, reinstall it, delete the extra texture pack and play then.

If your 360 fails, do the handy towel trick and trade it in the gamestop.

I unplugged/cleaned everything, moved a couple things around and now it seems fine. I should have done this yesterday lol

Already did that a while back. I think I just needed to get some better ventilation.

Nyko Intercooler STS for Xbox 360

This works well, I like it. It stays pretty quiet.

Don't think it has anything to do with the game, other than the fact you have a game in your console, I never had an ounce of trouble with B3.
