This morning I had an omelet for breakfast and the cook put a slice of orange and a slice of cantaloupe on the side. They were both fresh so i ate them.

Do you eat the garnishes that come with your restaurant meals?

I'm not classy enough to be at restaurants that have garnishes.

I will if it's a garnish that I like and it's fresh.

Depends on the garnish?

Yeah, I'll eat a slice of orange or some avocado slices, but not a big ol' leaf of raw kale or something like that.

If it's an edible garnish, I eat it.
If it's an inedible garnish, I complain.

got mayo?™ says:
If its edible and delicious...i eats.

That said , bacon needs to be used as garnish more often... Its down right criminal to keep it out of the garnish equation.

I love me some garnishes. I'll eat the orange in a Blue Moon, the celery in a bloody mary, and the sword that impales the fruits placed in all those fruity drinks. I might have pica

Sometimes at Sushi restaurants they garnish the meal with a flower (Chrysanthemum or other flower), while I think they are edible, I don't think you are supposed to eat it.

I know Hibiscus is edible. Are Chrysanthemums?

As a rule, they should never put anything on the plate that is not edible.

I'll eat the silverware so the intelligent parasites that live in my bowels have building material for their futuristic utopia.

I also eat oranges and such, for very different reasons.
