DOES NOT REQUIRE Shogun 2 to play. It's through Steam.

Sale price of 7.48, use their 25% off discount code (GMG25-G4VDR-0ZL4Q) and it goes down to ~5.61. Picking it up asap!

Love GMG!

I think it's on sale on Steam as well, the entire thing as well as just the DLC. I could be wrong though, may have just been a flash deal.

Nice find!

Which is better? Vanilla Shogun 2 or Fall of the Samurai?

EDIT: Well, I bought it.

I spent a couple hours with the demo for Shogun 2. Great game, but it's just too much game for me. Even with all the time I spend gaming, I felt that game just had TOO much content too offer. It would take over my life.

It looked like a game or a... match/skirmish would take waaaay too long for my liking. I remember playing Empire Earth II... one game lasted more than 8 hours. I got bored after 1 hour.

You can skip the matches / skirmishes and play the game like Civ if you want.

Civ also takes a very long time :p

I picked this up, went to activate it, and keep getting an invalid key error.

GMG is telling me it's due to "steam server load" and to keep trying for a few days. Lies.

Steam had both Fall of the Samurai and the original Shogun 2 for 10.00 bucks each plus all the DLC IIRC. Almost bought it, but Im very happy with Civ 5 Gods & Kings and XCOM EU for my strategy fixes.

I haven't played Civ 5 yet, but I grabbed it last night in a trade. Going to try to finish the download tonight.

Civ 5 is my favorite strategy game right now even over XCOM. The Gods and Kings expansion is really key though as it adds a ton of what I like about the game. I honestly preferred Civ 4 over Civ 5 until I got Gods and Kings.

That's the point of the games, I love it.

@Capt; I heard FOTS is better. Plus it's a full game within itself.

This, I actually don't do the matches and skirmishes; I play it just from the expansive town building aspect and 'taking over the world appeal'.

Cool, now if I can just get it to work. :D

Last night I traded a Dota 2 item for Civ 5: GotY and Fable 3. My backlog grows...

Will there be a Shogun 2 Gold Edition like with Rome and Medieval? Thanks
