"Dragon Age III: Inquisition is headed to next-generation consoles. According to the LinkedIn resume of EA Shanghai level designer Tao Gu, the "scope of the DAIII has been chaged [sic]" and it will now "target next gen platform [sic] and will be postpone [sic] to 2014."
Gu lists his work on Dragon Age III as having taken place between March 2012 and September 2012, noting that he was the lead level designer for the EA Shanghai team and "in charge of concent [sic] and layout design from paper to engine for vertical slice."
Dragon Age III was officially announced back in September, targeted at the time for "late 2013." No specific platforms were mentioned, causing speculation even then that the game would be headed to next-gen platforms.
Little information has been revealed since, though BioWare did spill a few details at the Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo in October, including information on castles, customization and more. BioWare also showed off some concept art earlier this month.
We've reached out to EA and BioWare about the shift to next-gen and will update this story with any comment we receive.
Thanks to Kotaku for the heads up.'
