Have you ever gotten mad at a game...because you beat it?

I have...a few times to be exact...my list would include Infamous 2, Skyrim and now Dishonored. You've enjoyed the game so much, spent many enjoyable hours into it, then you finally beat it and it's all over...it just issespay me off. Not because the game was bad or anything like that, quite the contrary, it was great and one of the best experiences in gaming to be had...but I guess like the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Well now I'm off to find my new addiction...the drug to my habit if you will...wish me luck.

Dishonored was probably my GOTY. Terrific game, beautiful city portrayed in the game.

I felt that way after I beat Final Fantasy XIII-2 but that was mostly because it ended so abruptly and left me hanging.

Not mad, but I was a little sad when I beat Red Dead Redemption.

I think after beating it twice now once with high chaos and now with low chaos seeing the differences were kind of cool especially on the last level

Hmmm Red Dead Redemption you say...I actually have that sitting on my shelf in my backlog...maybe it's time to dust it off and pop it in.

I don't get angry, I get sad.

Like last week I finished Brütal Legend again, and I was sad because I had enjoyed it, and now it was over, and there wasn't going to be any more of it, just like there wasn't going to be any more Grim Fandango, or any more Psychonauts, or any new Costume Quest...

Then I was sad all night.

Angry, no. But it was a rather sad moment once I reached the end of Mass Effect 3. The moment I realized I had finished my journey with these characters I had grown so attached to.

...of course I'm exaggerating when I say mad. Sorry I will try to be more precise and literal for now on...since we all know how serious the VGF is anyway...my bad.

Sad after Skyrim

I thought so too. I enjoyed the low chaos run through better, though.

I wasn't being semantic. I've never felt anything remotely negative after beating a game. How about that.

:)

I was happy on Friday night when the platinum trophy for Okami HD popped, but I became sad pretty much immediately after that since it was over. Then I remembered there was NG+, and I became happy again.

Really...is there that much of a difference? I beat it on high chaos...but now I'm tempted to play it again trying to beat it on low chaos.

I would cut my gaming sessions shorter so I wouldn't beat a game I really enjoyed a lot too quickly.

I know...I was just giving you a hard time...poor choice of words on my end.
