Ive been looking online and they are nowhere to be found. I already own an AR but I would like a G3 or a Springfield M1A so I ve been checking to see how many have been swooped up in fear. The answer is all.

Also, it is very difficult to find 30 round mags for assault weapons. My preferred mag, and most, were out of stock. I did find another 30 round mag for my AR and bought a couple. Also bought 2 mags for my XDM which holds 19 rounds. Those may be banned as well.

Just curious if any of you gun lovers have noticed this as well.

Do people actually sell guns online? I thought that was a no no in the US, kind of like alcohol. I remember when I was trying to get into CAS you could find catalogues online but no real way of ordering - you'd have to find a local dealer.

Because I feel like stirring the pot.

Let's be sensible. The "Right to Bear Arms" clearly has limits, which the government can and does proscribe. You can't have nuclear weapons. You can't have biological weapons. You can't have mountains of anthrax. Basically, you can't have anything that would let you easily annihilate a whole lot of people. This common sense policy should, by all logic and sense, include automatic and semi-automatic guns. The fact that historically guns were invented before biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons should not have any bearing on the discussion. This historical accident doesn't grant guns some sort of special, elevated status that puts them above policies that ensure public safety.

gunbroker.com, I think. They have to be shipped to a licensed dealer though.

No it doesn't, but they're so far ingrained into our culture that you'd never be able to institute a firm ban.

That's not such a bad system. I was asking more or less because I genuinely wasn't sure.

Yup, it's like the ebay of firearms.

My buddy has an AR-15. I've never really had a desire to own an assault rifle, maybe someday. They definitely shouldn't be banned, though.

For my next gun purchase I think I'm going to get a bolt-action rifle. Why? Because I'm cool like that.

I'm ok with that. I'll take a Colt SAA anyway. I'd feel like Revolver Ocelot.

So, they're auctions instead of outright purchases?

Left handed or right handed, Mike?

I believe you can do both.

I use Budgunshop.com. And yes. They have to ship to a FFL (Federal Firearms License) where you can pick it up. I have bought all of my guns this way. Its just a better selection and I am very particular.

Try the Mosin Nagant. You can get them for about $140 since U.S.S.R. made tons and now its surplus. The rounds are about $4 for a box of 20. I may grab one of them soonish.

All the local gun shops have been selling out of their kits and AR accessories in the NOVA area, actually. People are scrambling to get this stuff while they still can.

It'd be difficult to do, I don't see that a reason not to try.

Oh man... I'm actually starting to recognize this stuff. Monster Hunters International. Urban Fantasy books written by a gun nut. He started out independently published before he was picked up by a major publisher, and the main method of advertising he has was through gun magazines and NRA periodicals.
