Father of Mario and Zelda reaches another milestone.
Exactly 60 years to the day in the Japanese town of Sonobe, one of video gaming's greatest visionaries was born: Shigeru Miyamoto.
Since joining Nintendo at the late '70s, Miyamoto has arguably revolutionised the medium of interactive entertainment more than any other individual, producing a string of hits which stretches over an incredible four decades. In all that time, Miyamoto has never lost his sense of playfulness, as his recent visit to Spain proves.
Your contributions to this industry are some of the greatest, and you yourself are nigh irreplaceable. Let's hope that you aren't done yet - Here's to ten more years in the industry, maybe?
Anyway, without further ado:
Happy Birthday, Shigeru Miyamoto-Sama.
