You've never played KotoR?

I'm surprised you have not played VC. I think you'd love it.

Just started it. Really good game. Feels a lot like Uncharted. Also it's short.

Crap, that means I only have 4 days to beat Persona 4 Golden. Maybe I should just skip work this week.

I have KOTOR sitting on my shelf, but haven't played it yet.

And I have VC, and even played 2 or 3 hours of it. I loved it, but got distracted and haven't touched it since. I totally mean to try it again!

I would also regret not ripping apart the shrinkwrap on all the games (which I love to do) I bought this holiday season since I won't get any of them this week.

I'm planning on taking off Thursday and being "sick". Not for video games, but because the weather is going to suck and my sick days are expiring at the end of the year. I have to work Friday though unfortunately.

Sorry, man. That's kind of a given for all of us. Those things can be BEAST!

You're not missing anything with Valkyria Chronicles.

Well, except for pretty graphics.

And like most people my regret would be missing out on all future videogames.

You monster! Fix this immediately. They even had it in a humble bundle recently.

I guess my only regret would be touching myself too much at night when I could've been playing video games instead.

Combat sucked, and the story wasn't good enough to carry it.

If you do end up going back to it, make sure to save in between every turn(I didn't realize you could) - Nothing kills a game quicker then making a silly mistake and being forced to replay a 30min+ battle.

And some of the gimmick "fights" are simply pathetic and infuriating.

OP says:
I liked the game a lot, but I had a few complaints about combat:

- You get a tank (or two), but you will almost never use it in battle because getting it into position takes up too many turns, so it ends up just sitting in the back the entire time.
- By the end of the game, you never use the intended anti-tank units to kill tanks; instead, you're better off using either shock troopers or scouts with damage order to kill tanks.
- Some of the turn limits end up requiring you to take almost perfect paths in order to maximize your reward.
- You can have a clear shot at an unsuspecting enemy who's not in cover and have him duck out of the blue (this is mostly confined to enemy aces).

EDIT: Some of these are minor (I never liked using lancers anyway), and none of these was a dealbreaker.
