Actually, I have. On Xbox Live. It wasn't that bad.

Both had an incredible set of games. Choosing based on games alone would be difficult for me. Some of my favorites for each console were:

SNES:
-Mario Kart
-Super Mario World
-Super Metroid
-Super Double Dragon
-TMNT Tournament Fighters
-Batman - The Animated Series
-Batman Returns
-TMNT - Turtles in Time (which featured exclusive villains)
-Final Fight
-X-Men - Mutant Apocalypse
-Super Castlevania IV
-Contra III
-Brawl Brothers
-Star Fox
-Final Fantasy III (VI in Japan)
-Donkey Kong Country Series
-Killer Instinct
-Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi/Empire Strikes Back
-Super Turrican
-Super Adventure Island
-Breath of Fire 1 and 2
-Demon's Crest
-Castlevania Dracula X
-Cybernator
-R-Type III
-Battletoads in Battlemaniacs
-Super Ghost `n Ghouls
-Gradius III
-Mega Man 7
-EVO: Search for Eden
-Pilotwings
-Mega Man X series
-Super Punch Out
-Yoshi's Island
-Super Mario RPG
-Zelda: Link to the Past

Genesis:

-Sonic 1, 2, 3, & Knuckles
-Phantasy Star II, III
-Streets of Rage 1, 2, and 3
-Golden Axe 1, 2 and 3
-Vectorman 1 and 2
-Comix Zone
-Outrun
-Mega Turrican
-Castlevania Bloodlines
-Contra Hard Corps
-Eternal Champions
-Michael Jackson's Moon Walker
-Altered Beast
-Shining Force I and II
-Gunstar Heroes

Now, if we were talking graphics and sound, the clear winner would be the SNES. System specs and comparisons could be found everywhere on the net.

Wasn't really worth it. Cool idea, but it didn't work very well at the time. Took ages to download anything and you lost it when you powered off the system.

The Lunar series in general will long hold a very special place in my heart.

Yeah, but you got to play games for "free."

The thing about the Sega channel I'll never forget is that it was my 90 year old great grandmother with Alzheimers who first told me about it.
We were visiting her at the nursing home and she was going on about all kinds of weird stuff like she always did when suddenly she got onto the topic of video games. She told us that her TV had video games even though it was just a crappy old black and white (does anyone remember the faux wood paneling they used to have?) and it didn't even have a cable box or rabbit ears.
My brother and I just humored her and she pulled out an ad for Sega TV and showed it to us.
She didn't actually have it of course, but we thought it was awesome and really wanted it.
We never did get it, but I have no idea where she got that ad or why she thought to keep it for us.
Or really how she even knew what a video game was since she had been losing her mind since about the 80s.

Looking back, she was pretty weird. She would also spend a lot of time looking at the sky and talking about chemtrails. Whenever she would see a jet go overheard she'd tell us she was onto them. They think she doesn't know but she does.

SNES though if arcade ported games, I would pick Genesis.

I think the SNES is better than the Dreamcast by far too. Honestly the only thing that competes with the SNES in my eyes is the launch/backwards compatible PS3.

What's better? Ice Cream or Milk Shakes? How can you decide? I never could. I loved both systems, but I'm slightly more for Sega because of the SEGA Channel back in the mid-90s. That was so awesome.

Milk Shakes as long as they're malts.

N64 for me.

Ice cream. You can't make a proper milk shake without ice cream.

I also need to fill out my Gamecube and Dreamcast collection, and I also need to buy some PS1 and PS2 games on PSN.

Sega Genesis for the Sonic franchise plus the greatest game ever: Star Control.

Star con 2 on the 3DO ;)

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 26, 2012 2:31:42 PM PST
3DO was too rich for my blood to have ever actually played one.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 26, 2012 2:36:32 PM PST
But if you were rich enough to own a cd-burner back then (along with a lack of ethics) you were all set.

SNES and it's not even close. Still love genesis however.

Can we cut Altered Beast, it might have been the worst game I've ever played that I thought I loved.
