I don't need the sniper tree to snipe, I'm just saying it's the only thing about Zer0 I would do. I only melee if i have 0 other options.

my friend is leveling up a differnt tree with with zero just so we wont be esacly the same, but we pretty much both sniped. Im also using a pistol the does 44 damage and fires as fast as you can pull the trigger for close combat, its deadly with criticals at close range

to me it came down to the on use. I disliked Zero's and Love Axton's. Specially the Turret with the shield on it.

That pistol is the s***. That with a sniping combo is just ridiculous.

@Griffing, melee dmg is awesome with Zer0. If you like pure sniping - he's for you. If not, probably not a good character.

For my part, I can't make up my mind which character I want to play. I wish there was a way to play all 4 without having to start over each time. Well, I would imagine that you can use multiple characters as long as you use a differnet storage device for each one, right?

Anyhow, I can't say that I'm a big fan of the 'Zerker, since his skill only allows him to dual wield part-time. If he was able to permanently dual wield, then he'd be much more likeable. I started off as Zer0, tried out the 'Zerker, then Maya, and went back to Zer0. I then tried out the commando, and ended up back at Zer0. Unfortunately, the only skill tree of his that I like is the sniping tree. I miss Mordecai. At least with him I was able to specialize in pistols (with bonuses)for something different.

yeah some of the pistols are lame though, but the one i have is so awsome. It does great damage and shoots fast. Zeros ability i think is sweet, great for a sniper to get out of a sticky situation

Oh for sure, especially with decoy.

So true, decoy + sniper rifle = dead bad guys.

IF you do use zeros ability you might as well knife though, since it increases your melee damage by 650-750%(i forget witch one. does your decoy do any damage while hes swinging his sword or is it just for looks

Just for looks.

For those using Gunzerker, what have you found to be the most effective gun combo? I think dual-wielding pistols seems to be the best so far since there is only hip fire, plus the reload is much quicker.

FOGE says:
I like pistol shotgun combo. The shotgun reloads while you shoot pistol. You can save the shells for when the enemies get closer.

Has anyone mentioned jumping yet? It's a lot different than BL1. At least I think it is, I like it a lot more.

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 19, 2012 10:19:19 AM PDT
I can tell you that my gunzerker jumps higher than I remember anyone jumping in BL1. Also, it seems the easiest way to dodge things thrown at you if you don't wanna try to shoot whatever out of the air.

Its more sackboyish

Hmm..how's the jumping different? Feels the same to me. Do you guys get tired of the death animation after awhile? Maybe cause I'm dying too much..

I'm pretty sure that gun damage is increased when you use the decoy too, seems like it at least. There is a skill that makes your next melee attack stronger after using a gun, and it also increases gun damage after a melee attack. I've been running up for a melee attack, sending out the decoy, then blasting fools for crazy damage.

Edit: The opposite works nicely too.

after 2 deaths I'm tired of it. I prefer the instant one.

I started playing as a lvl 2 with my friend who was a lvl 17, so yeah, I was dying left and right! Co-op was fun, but it has its drawbacks.

I would hate to do that...

You gotta coop at similar levels.

I prefer the instant one too and I am dying too much. Gunzerking at early lvls doesn't work cause I die in like 3 hits.

L, thats one of the problems with co-op in 1. If an enemy is just 2-3 lvls above you, you bascially do like 1hp damage and get 1-shotted all the time and end up just hiding behind cover while your higher lvl'ed friends take out the enemies. Not too fun.
