Now most people say that movie adaptions are never as good as their source, but there are some times that Hollywood just straight-up bombs. The first film that comes to mind is that Super Mario movie they made in the 90's. Shouldn't have even happened.

Can you guys think of others? Feel free to discuss any sort of adaptions. (books, comics, video games, or remakes)

How the Grinch Stole Christmas was pretty hammy and bad.

Also, pretty much any video game movie ever is total crap. Case in point: the Resident Evil movies.

Watchmen stands as one of my biggest let downs ever.

OP says:
To add on, Double Dragon and the Street Fighter movie are both terrible attempts to adapt video game source material to movies.

Dragon Ball Z: Evolution. I couldn't even sit through the whole thing.

Good lord Yes. Amazing book, AWFUL movie... Accept for Brom. Jeremy irons can do NO wrong in my eyes.

My vote for terrible movies... let me think...

Mortal Kombat Annihilation... though I admit I still liked the First movie.
Dragonball Evolution
Batman and Robin... though... it's so bad it's fun to watch sometimes
Any of the Hulk movies, not including Avengers

I'm sure there are More I just can't think of any I've seen at this time.

At least they provide good background noise for when you're cleaning or doing homework. They're all long as hell.

Resident Evil, IMHO, are terrible movies. George Romero should never have been fired from the set of the first. :)

Man, don't get me started on the Grinch. Yeesh.

Street Fighter, both of them. However, I would do some really bad things to Ming-Na Wen and Kristin Kreuk maybe at the same time.

Pretty much every video game adaptation...with the exception of Mortal Kombat and its sequel. They were cheesy films, but they were also entertaining and true to the source material. I like the first Resident Evil movie too.

Other movies where they got it wrong though:

The Lawnmower Man
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Jurassic Park III
Mamma Mia!
Rock of Ages

That "Constantine" movie with Keanu Reeves was an okay movie, but that character was in no way John Constantine. If they had made him "Fritz Demonsmasher" it would have been a vastly superior movie.

The source material there wasn't that great to begin with.

Any adaptations of Tom Clancy novels... With a possible exception for The Hunt for Red October (though that would be pushing it). As much as I love Harrison Ford, trying to watch Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger as adaptations of the book was just horrific.

The hobbit. Not that they shouldn't do a movie for it, but a trilogy just for this one book is dumb and cash grabby
