Beau says:
'Tis the season for Eggnog, so let's hear it: do you love it or hate it?

Personally, I think it's nasty.

Edit: Crap, I forgot the "?" in the title.

Kin-foot says:
Love it but only can take it in small doses.

^This. And some good brandy or cognac doesn't hurt!

That Emu Kid says:
I liked it a lot when I was little, but now I don't really care for it. It smells kinda good, but after a few sips I never want any more than that, so I don't buy it at all.

D_Strasse says:
Yeah, quite a bit actually.

Weirdly, I haven't had any this year. Also, I like me straight, no rum for me.

J. Pardee says:
It's OK in small doses but I'm not really a fan. Last year at Christmas we had hot chocolate with eggnog ice cream in it and that was actually pretty good.

I was going to answer, but the lack of a question mark has confused and angered me.

But seriously, I can't stand the stuff.

From one grammar Nazi to another: I feel your pain. That's why I edited my original post.

I know how you feel. It drives me crazy when I start a topic and see that I made some stupid typo that I can't edit.

It's ok. I can have a small glass once every few years. My Mom likes it though.

OP says:
It's okay in small portions and not completely chilled, but it seems to be a bit heavy otherwise.

The Drizzle says:
every year i buy some eggnog. every year, i drink two glasses (which i am always excited for), get sick of it, and throw away the rest.

i really need to start buying smaller bottles of it.

DukeNole says:
Southern Comfort Spiced Eggnog (it doesn't have alcohol, it's in the dairy section of your grocer) + Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum = solid holiday drink. Can't drink them all night though - even when cutting the eggnog with lots of alcohol, they're a little rich.

Nicos says:
Hell yeah. Brandy + cinnamon + nutmeg + eggnog = some good holiday times.

Store bought eggnog is terrible.

Homemade eggnog is fantastic.

There's really no middle ground.

Posted on Dec 18, 2012 11:29:19 PM PST
Most store bought eggnog is crap. However, if you're in Oklahoma or within a certain radius of Braum's headquarters (I think there's a couple in western Arkansas and northern Texas), then you're lucky enough to buy the best store bought eggnog on the planet. I absolutely love the stuff. I also love my booze, but I hate alcoholic eggnog. I take it straight up. Like my sex.

Pick 34 says:
Yup, steak n shake has a good egg nogg milkshake. It's good and not too rich.
