waxc3 says:
if you have the hunting girl you can buy beaver pelts for like 100 and sell them for nearly 600. (some huge profit like that).

i stood by the book several times and bought stuff, then sold it on the convoy. once it returned i did it again and again.
made 100,000 or so pretty fast.

fully upgrading the boat requires a crazy amount of money!

waxc3 says:
you do need to play more to keep unlocking new people to meet and new missions for the people you know.

OP says:
Ah, good point; I got tunnel vision with bear pelts and was hoarding pelts from Myriam for crafting purposes, lol.

EDIT: One other thing: I'm guessing that the stores you can send a convoy to increase as you progress in the story? Right now, I just have Hancock's and Ellen's in Boston.

I'm working on getting all of the Almanac pages now. It sucks. I dont think they give you enough time to catch up to them before they vanish.
Collected all the Feathers last night. Got a new outfit for doing it. Any idea what you have to do to get the Assassin outfit that Achilles has you retrieve from that cave?

waxc3 says:
i have a hard time getting complete sets. many pages are easy to see and slow down on the straights so i can get em.
then a couple are white on a white sky and twist all back and forth along the edges and tops of buildings and i never can get em in time.

so is that the only purpose of feathers now? i stopped bothering for them for now cause they seemed pointless.

Yeah all the feathers do is give you an Native American outfit. Nothing else. I was disappointed.

OP says:
I don't recall the feathers ever giving you something significant, though.

StriderNeo15 says:
well, you needed them for 2 different achievements in AC2, and one in AssBro, so that was pretty cool.

Alien Fodder says:
I'm having a problem with one of my Assassin recruits... I'm pretty sure I've liberated all of his district (South Boston) and when I go see him at his tavern, there are no more conversations to be had with him (which usually means you're done with all the Liberation missions) and yet he won't show up on the recruits contract screen when I want to send them away to train them. Any idea why this is happening?

Marvelous says:
That's better then previously AC games though, all feathers would do is grant you an achievement.

waxc3 says:
yeah. i like my achievements and in the previous games it was too hard to get most every achieve. this one im not planning on getting most of them.

waxc3 says:
they get unlocked within the main plot a few times. play more story and they should join in.

Marvelous says:
I haven't looked at the achievements yet. I usually play through once just to experience the game, but then I always do a second playthrough with certain achievements in mind.

Alien Fodder says:
Makes sense! Thank you very much for the tip. I'll go back to the Homestead to do some buyin' and sellin' and then it'll be on to the Boston Tea Party! :)
