so i started up demon souls again and i cant figure out how i want to play through it. The last time i used a magic/dex build, took me 30 hours but i kinda cheaped a lot of the bosses. so what do yall think, what did you have the most fun playing as.

tank(strenth build, destroying anything that gets in my way)
hit and move(dex build where i pick you life away inch by inch)
sneaky(fast moving dager build, cause you cant hit what you cant see)

What did yall have the most fun playing as.

Carefully.

I always went for speed and used curved swords. It's tempting to tank through it, but it's pretty tough to play as a knight (if you do, invest in a good spear).

I'm playing a cleric. Decent combo of strength and faith. That being said, I'm really a noob, so who knows?

Virtually unplayable!

I'm not that far in, but I'm loving Str on my soldier class so far.

yeah i pretty much played with a spear, bow, catalist my first time playing. im thinking maybe a strengh/dex build that way i can tank, but if i need to i can fall back on a bow/spear/halbred or something like that.

I dont know if i can beat the whole game just strait up tanking.

As long as you can still roll at speed, you're good to go. A balanced strength/dex build works nicely.

So, you put lots of points into Dex, Str, and End(for your fast rolling in heavy armor)?

what do you think would be the best class to start off with if i went with a strengh/dex build. and anything i should pick up early in the game. I didnt really do a whole lot of searching the last time i played.

You can get the sword from 4/1 real easy and it's a great starting weapon, even if you aren't going magic.
