It's really sad when a company has to pack on nearly $200 worth of stuff to sell an item that's in short supply. The people who sell on ebay are more honest than this shameless profiteering.

Good point. Seems corporations are no better than individuals. Lol.

Got a another deluxe, I think. Not going to cancel my other pre-order at Toys R' Us just yet though. Wanna see some verification first.

This deal was just too good to pass up.

$529 for some hardware that is already obsolete before it's even released is 'too good to pass up'? I'm hoping everyone thinks that way when my 30 pre-ordered basic units arrive for scalping.

I. Flores says:
I dont get it.
$250 WiiU plus 3 games @ $60 ea total $430, yet they're asking $480
How is that a deal?

No wonder it's still in-stock

UziHorowitz says:
Wii U Deluxe is $350.

This is exactly the price you'd pay if you want the system and 3 games. No more, no less.

$530 for the deluxe with NSMB-U, ZombieU, and BLOPS2? No, thank you, I'll just stick to my $350 for the base deluxe.

@Flores: The base WiiU is $300, so that might help your math.

I. Flores says:
The 8Gb is the deluxe one? Really?

I. Flores says:
Wasn't the base/core WiiU $250?

UziHorowitz says:
I'm talking about the Deluxe since no one's gonna buy the lesser model.

No.

Why wouldn't I buy the cheaper model?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 16, 2012 6:33:20 PM PST
No, the deluxe is 32GB. Still nothing to sing about, but it is 4 times the size as the base 8GB.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 16, 2012 6:34:22 PM PST
deluxe comes with Nintendoland, plus you are part of their program where you get a discount(10% i think) off of digital content and you are in that free of charge for 2 years.

Jawwaad says:
Well, you can buy the deluxe version bundle for $529 which is exactly retail price

StriderNeo15 says:
Probably because Nintendo basically said that downloaded games won't load on external memory and after system data the basic WiiU only has about 3GB worth of space.

I. Flores says:
Goddamnit so now it's $50 more from what I was expecting to pay.
My 5 year old has already threatened me to run away from home if I don't get them one of these.
But with only a single tablet available (on a 2 kid household) I'll just tell him the door's wide open.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 16, 2012 6:37:32 PM PST
Jawwaad says:
The Wii U 8GB version is $299 not $250 so the 8GB version is also exactly retail price.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 16, 2012 6:37:51 PM PST
Which would be a great thing if you were wanting all 3 games at launch AND launch prices. Otherwise, it seems like they are forcing another full-retail priced game down your throat just to get the console. Z-U and NSMBU is a given, but I think that everyone has a right to be nervous how BLOPS2 MP will work on the new console if they were even interested.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 16, 2012 6:40:20 PM PST
Well, the console will only allow up to one Nintablet per console at launch. As to the kid saying that he was going to pack his bags if he doesn't get one, offer to pay for his cab. Man, I wish I could have gotten away with half of the stuff back in the days as kids get away with nowadays.

I. Flores says:
If ZombiU flops with the critics, expect price to drop drastically and fast.
