Oh, that's stupid!

Coffee says:
If that's the case, then that helps to bolster the argument that "only criminals will have the good stuff."

That Emu Kid says:
I think they weren't allowed to be produced for civilian use during the previous assault rifle ban... but there were already a ton in existence that were grandfathered in. So all that happened was that the resale price went up while that ban was in effect.

I'm pretty sure it's anything over 30.

Cinema Fan says:
You probably are having a hard time finding assault weapons online because normal civilians don't need them. Right to bear arms or not.

FOGE says:
Wrong. I thought that was the limit, but turns out, you can buy 100 round drums.

I prefer "The Judge" for home defense. Revolver that shoots .410 shells?? Yes please!

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 19, 2012 8:43:45 AM PST
I've never been a fan of revolvers. That thing is pretty slick though.

It was in this podunk lil town near my hometown. Cop was dressed like he was ready to invade Poland. Im normally really nice and cooperative, but I was being a richard to this guy. He was just obnoxious and I had literally done nothing wrong. No tickets though, so alls well that ends well.

FOGE says:
Have you shot one of those? I saw that and thought it was amazing, but am petrified to use one.

I want to get a 100 round drum for my 10/22.

You guys are thinking of the ban from 94-2004. I bought a Glock 17 in 2001 and it came witht he 2 x 10 round mags instead of the 2 x 17 round mags. A 17 round mag then ran around $100.00.

I might rent one when the local range opens next year. I can't wait. They'll have rifle and shotgun lanes.

Yup, I bought a 3" snub nose barrel one for my old man for Christmas. They don't kick nearly as badly as you'd imagine, but the short barrel makes them fairly inaccurate anywhere but 15-20 feet out. If I had to do it again, I'd get the 6" ranging model.

Still, I'd much rather have that tucked close to my body when in my house than trying to fumble through with a long barrel 20 gague.

FOGE says:
Let me know how it goes. My range I frequent wont let you shoot shotgun shells. And they have a limited rental selection.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 19, 2012 8:49:29 AM PST
Okay, but I'm not having that argument. All I'm saying is that I thought civilians couldn't own 30 round mags.

Ah, okay.

Mossberg Roadblocker.

If you use all 5 rounds you can just beat them with it like a club. Google it. :D

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 19, 2012 8:50:07 AM PST
That's cool.

If someone wants to use a 100-rd drum and get a ton of jams, that's on them.

FOGE says:
I basically am thinking of it as a 5? round sawn off shotgun. Itd be perfect for home defense. No need to be accurate at over 20 feet. I d probably grab that and a pistol in case I need to go outside though.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 19, 2012 8:51:11 AM PST
Well an M4 can have 31 rounds.

On a related note, total pet peeve of mine in video games.

FOGE says:
Or the Mossburg 500. Thats on my wishlist :)

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 19, 2012 8:52:22 AM PST
It is a 500. It's a modified 500. ;)

FOGE says:
