I've purchased Darksiders 2 twice, and I'm still happy. For $13 bucks, if you like the idea of a zelda kinda puzzle platformer where you collect loot, it's a no brainer.

Darksiders 2 is like zelda? O.o

uncledonnie3 says:
The structure of the game is Zeldaesque. The dungeon design never comes close to being as good as that series but it's still a good game.

Every time i think of Darksiders i think of the game where the dude has some monster that eats people souls when you kill them.

Edit: Ah yes it was called darkness thats why i get confused. Darkness Darksiders Dark<insert titles here>

We're not talking about real life. Darksiders is a game.

On a serious note, are you talking about the darkness? Never played it.

I don't understand. Darksiders 2 is $25, which is the same price as the THQ Collection, and $5 more than the Darksiders franchise pack... silly sale prices...

Yeah the problem is I bought the first one at last years christmas sale for 5 bucks. Played about 2 hours of it, really loved it, but havent touched it since because of Steam backlog. So while I REALLY want to grab this deal, I'm also trying to talk myself out of it because I doubt I'll play it for a looooong time.

Oh, cool!

Also, is it just me, or did the THQ collection not include Darksiders 2 an hour ago, but now it does?

McAwesomeo even commented on it.

Kirksplosion says:
It definitely didn't have Darksiders 2 in it an hour ago. That's why we we're laughing about the header image including Death, but the bundle not having that game.

Damn maybe I'll have to get the package deal. What does the package come with again? Also seems like most here say its worth getting? Never played it cause i always associated Darksiders with Darkness for some reason lol.

Kin-foot says:
I know the first Darksiders borrowed a ton from Zelda. Boomerang, Hookshot, pieces of heart, small keys, boss keys, central map with "dungeons". You even have a horse and a portal gun. Well that last one is from another game.

ChuChu Train says:
Is it better to get it on console or pc?

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 20, 2012 12:17:48 PM PST
That Emu Kid says:
Well it's obviously cheaper to get it on PC. It's up to you whether or not you'd prefer to play it on there or not.

Well speaking of Winter I need to leave work right now we are shutting down early. It's a complete whiteout and I have no clue how bad this drive will be home!

Kin-foot says:
I would prefer a controllers but I'm sure you can just plug in a 360 controller to the PC.

If you have a decent PC, it's honestly a tossup based on preference. If you don't, then console is obviously the way to go. I've not seen any mod community around the game and that is one of the main reasons that I went console back in the day.

@Kin: Yup, just make sure you have your controller plugged in before you launch the game. Othewise, it won't recognize it.

You can also download Motion in Joy to use a PS3 controller via USB. Otherwise you have to buy a wireless receiver or wired 360 controller if you don't already have one. The USB cables that come with the rechargeable batteries for the wireless 360 controllers only transmit power, not data.
