Prankster says:
I love comedies but I am very flexible when it comes to genres in anything - music, movies, TV shows, games, books. I listen, read and watch almost anything and everything. There are definitely exceptions but very few and I rarely have an obvious preference.

Swift's new single pretty much does sound like it was written by a middle schooler, though. I kinda liked some of the other songs of hers I heard on the radio, but I can't stand the new one.

You should definitely watch that show if you get a chance. It is so very funny! Ty Burrell steals the show but Eric Stonestreet and Ed O'Neill are just as awesome. Even Sofia Vergara is hilarious in the show.

Anthony says:
lol, like i said, i don't have a problem with comedy movies, and even enjoy most of the ones i've seen. its just that, just about every single comedy i've watched, its because someone else i was with picked it. and i was outvoted.

generally, when it comes to movies, i'll give just about anything a chance unless it has Johnny Depp or Ben Stiller in it. i absolutely cannot stand either one of those two.

Note: my preference for not watching comedy doesn't extend to tv. though i'm not all that interested in any of the sitcoms currently on.

That's the one I'm talking about. I didn't even know it was Taylor Swift for the longest time since it's so different and obnoxious compared to her other music. My wife didn't believe me at first when I told her it was by Swift.

'I Knew You Were Trouble When You Walked In'

Anjel says:
Trouble... it's basically her wailing ''Trouble, trouble, trouble...

It's turrible.

Anjel says:
Oh, well thought you meant the newer one ''Trouble''. I personally find it awful-er.

It's catchy. Not very complicated lyrically, but I have heard much worse.

Everything Must Go [Blu-ray] was a pretty good movie with Will Ferrell in it. It's no Stranger Than Fiction, but that's one of my favorite movies of all time so I wasn't too disappointed. I also really like Elf.

Is it just me or has Mae West gotten way more attractive over the last three years?

30+ years of not living does that to a person. :-)

Ah, I was thinking of Mae Whitman. And after googling and realizing she was Ann in Arrested Development, it's no longer speculation, it's a fact that she's gotten way hotter.

M. Ogre says:
Pseudo-hippie. I had long hair, smoked pot, and dressed all counter-culture and stuff. But I was in fact a productive member of society all along, I was just very, very naive.

After diving very deep into the whole hippie scene, which included moving to San Francisco during the Haight-Ashbury days (hippie-central), I came to the hard-won and expensively paid for conclusion that "real" hippies actually were bums, who thought that they could sponge off of productive people---or steal from them---and rationalize it as "liberating assets from The Man". And all that revolutionary crap. And when I say steal from, what I mean is that my hippie "friends" stole from me. All of them, repeatedly. Boy was I a chump. But, that is how one learns. And, back then, the whole Kosmik/Karmik/Yogic thing just sounded so---groovey, and I had no 20/20 hindsight to fall back on.

Must be the Season Of The Witch.

So if you are gonna cancel a meeting, especially one that is in a different building you should tell people.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 20, 2013 12:55:13 PM PST
That's actually a fascinating story.

That was always that impression I got of the "true" hippies from what I was told.
