My $80 import of Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- f [Japan Import] just went in with some laundry due to being left in my coat pocket (coat needed to be washed, game did not). I haven't been this upset over a game since my copy of Starcraft flew out of the disc tray and scratched itself on the carpet after gently hovering to the ground.

With digital, I can at least redownload if I ever accidentally delete something, and can more easily keep a backup somewhere.
EDIT: changed to product link and added final sentence.

I hate having keys to open my door because I left my keys on the bar one night.

Your carpet sounds rough.

Maybe you should take better care of your stuff.

If you use Cheer detergent your game should be okay. Tide detergent, not so much...

I seem to be using all detergent. It's still drying so I haven't checked to see if it works or not yet. I'm being optimistic. And feeling stupid.

He should have tried Color-Safe Tidus.

Having a carpet that scratches a game disc if it simply lands on it is not beyond your control.

Don't drop the disc.

It was spinning. The spinning is what caused the flying and the hovering and the scratching.

I think you're missing the point that, whether something is in motion or lying perfectly still, carpets are not supposed to be sharp.

That really does suck. The only thing about digital owning things is the fact that you dont actually own it. At anytime the company can take your purchase away and not give you your money back. That really has not happened alot, but it does happen.

Well when the robots take over I don't know what they'll choose to do to all the digital media out there. And Old Glory Robot Insurance won't cover it.

So I still prefer physical media when I have the option.

I'm imagining the disc drive on your PC opening and your copy of Starcraft slowly floating to the ground, where it is embedded in this crusty old shag carpeting. And then a single tear falls down your face and the first thought you have: "I must post this to the VGF."

I just want to know what kind of game this is. The screencaps are...interesting.

I'd also like to know if imports work on a US PS Vita. Or do you need a Japanese Vita?

Under the description, it says it's region free and it works on all Vitas. That being said, game looks like something creepy tentacle porn lovers might like.

Some people have big rough carpets, others have no carpet, and some just have a landing strip.

The thing is, and the one that people sometimes forget, is that with even purchased physical media, you don't ever really "own it". It's just that with DLC, the user agreement is much more easily enforced, plus the licensing company could go out of business, you could lose the license or forget about it. All kinds of mayhem if it's a license you want to have access to long term.

Thank you for the informative comment. I read the reviews on the product's page and it seems fun enough. I may actually order it when I get my Vita. Are there any plans for a US release?
