Obviously, she needs a Surface Pro.

Seriously, though, why not the Fire?

If you really Loved your mom(s) you would buy them a £5,000,000 Diamond encrusted Gold iPad 2.

Because amazon shovels those fires down people's throats, it's why they charge 35$ dollar over the MSRP for Google Nexus 7 Tablet (16 GB)

I don't believe the kindle fire is better for web browsing(I could be wrong?)

MrFoxhound says:
It has a web browser: Silk. It like pre-loads pages or something based on your browsing history to reduce load times.

I can't personally comment on the Nexus 7 but I have a Kindle Fire HD and the browser has always worked flawlessly for me.

McAwesomeo says:
You can replace the browser by downloading a new one if you don't like the default one. I use Opera on my phone and the default one on my Galaxy 2. If you're looking in the same price range and think that the expandable memory might be a factor, get a Galaxy for the miniSD slot. If not, go with the Nexus since it has slightly better overall hardware.

just get her the nexus or a samsung tablet though i believe the nexus doesnt support SD cards? personally i have a tf300 with dock, really cool stuff cuz besides from the microSD on the tablet the dock adds another slot for an SD card

McAwesomeo says:
The Nexus does not. That was the major factor in my decision.
