This game had several very awesome qualities about it.
The soundtrack....the Druid Plow...Jack Black....the Spinal Tap type humor...the uniqueness of each faction in multiplayer....heavy metal.
One of my favorite games of all time.

Won't be buying it!

The game was great until those RTS stage battles. I hated them enough to not finish it.

That was almost the entire game though. What'd you hate about the battles? I thought they were way too easy.

I liked the game a lot, despite the false advertising of the demo. I loaned my copy to a friend and never got it back...

Not really. And I just thought they were clunky to control and not fun at all.

I think the battles were supposed to just be more humorous than actual RTS battles.
Eddie battles hair metal
Eddie battles Goths...etc

I kind of took it that they overextended the game a little, but overall I laughed at most of it.

Game had great atmosphere and characters, but they didn't do enough with them. It's still a fun game, but it's not my favorite Doublefine offering. Shouldn't have done multiplayer or the RTS battles thing. If the game was a pure action game with the open world and upgrades it would have been much better.

I imagine PC players will take to the RTS stuff more than console players did.

82/83 metacritic bet on it

one of the best games i have ever played. I loved it and the RTS was good and i thought it was easy while i played on hard.

That Emu Kid says:
Probably. Also, people know what they're getting into at this point, whereas much of the outcry against the game on consoles was the misleading demo that billed it as an open world action game rather than an action/RTS hybrid.

I love this game, it's far from perfect, and the RTS part almost certainly controls better with a keyboard/mouse than a controller.

Definitely worth a look. The soundtrack is amazing to the point that just driving around (and shooting wildlife with a rocket launcher) is a blast.

I still have it for 360 unopened.... I should get around to playing it.

DVvM says:
If you're playing this for the first time, it's really best to come into it from the perspective of "this is a flawed game, but I can love it for what it does well" rather than for nitpicking a game and deducting for it's faults.

It's an uneven game (notably they had to cut out about 1/3 of it) but when it works it's great.

No wonder Double Fine has no money, you monster.

Only if the PC controls are functional...I have a feeling the normal combat is more controller-oriented.

*sigh*

Pre-ordered.

DV, if this game isn't worth it, you owe me $14.99 worth of Internets.

Peter says:
It is a pretty funny game, but it can also be had for less than $10 on any console. I bought it for $7.99 at Best Buy probably two years ago. Still, if Steam is your preferred or only option, it's worth the price IMO. But, it also isnt for everybody, so look into it first.
