out of all the games we've played, which levels and/or music cues did you find to be your favorite(s)?

for music cues, it's this:

but for levels, i'm gonna go with the secret Freeway level from "Duke Nukem 3D", because the music and setting makes you feel like it's really the end of the world (and it's before the boss fight), and also has a nice little Terminator cameo in there as well

I can't link anything as I'm at work but I have a few fav songs...

1. Final boss Battle from Super Mario RPG
2. Bonus Level from Space harrier
3. Way to many Final Fantasy songs to mention Individual songs.

Music cues are probably all going to be Zelda picks not because it's the best (well perhaps it is) but because I grew up hearing those sounds.

Journey is pretty up there with sound design as well.

I forgot what the name of it is, but it's some creepy music heard just before you go through the final portal in "Resurrection of Evil" for the Maledict Boss fight. knowing that you'll have a slim chance of surviving

There's gotta be at least seven or eight different music cues from zelda that are still awesome today.

A ton of Capcom games from back in the day had great tunes. I love the music in GunSmoke a lot too.

At about :57 seconds in is when one of the best pieces of chiptune music kicks in.

I've been playing some Fallout New Vegas recently and that game has exceptional music, especially when you're listening with headphones. Eerily good sometimes.

I think the FF victory song is fairly iconic. I think one of the best scores for video games is actualy from SWTOR. Game not so much but great music some of it stolen from the movies but alot of it is new and its well done top dollar.

the Xplasma music track that plays throughout the Dark Side level from "Duke Nukem 3D" during the Lunar Apocalypse episode. I don't know what it is about it, but it sounds so soothing and calming
