Easily goty, all of you are going to love the opening scene.

Played about an hour so far. Opening scene is phenomenal, funny, outstanding acting, art style is just breath taking, hit detection is done right, no lag, things run smooth, graphics are top notch, story is taking off at the right part, etc.

You can easily tell they had a much higher budget for this one. Things are everywhere, the graphics and art are more lush, fast travel systems seem to be in every major area (thank god). I have only played up to level 3 and I have come across 2 readily available fast travel sights. There are now achievement like objects in your journal that you get "badass" points for... you can spend them on faster reload time, better dmg, more health, better shield capacity, etc. The jumping is simply amazing, changed it a little different than BL1. Money and health picks up automatically now, there are more readily available health packs!

It's a loot fest, duh, guns everywhere, toilets, mailboxes, cool new boxes, etc.

I am playing on PC, but this game should look great on consoles.

Handsome Jack is hilarious. I couldn't stop thinking about butt stallion all day long. He's like Lex Luthor mixed with the Joker.

Only about an hour left until I can go home and start gaming. This work day is really slow.

Aren't you gonna work out first?

It's a game detailing unicorns and leprechauns as they move between their world and ours, through what they call the borderlands. If you have a 6 year old innocent child, you must get them to play this game. Don't watch them, just power up your system and come back in 5 hours or so. You will be AMAZED at how their vocabulary has increased.

Awesome.

So once you start BL2 you may notice you have a recorder in your inventory, this just basically is a little speech back and forth in the two characters I tried. Zer0, I've noticed, speaks in Haiku in the recording. +1 point for that Gearbox, +1 for that.

Hey, I don't know if this has been addressed to you yet, but if you're playing on the 360, one of my controllers seem to have like a sweet spot in the joystick that doesn't register the full push. So in games like FPS's and such, where you use the left stick to run around and there are different levels of "running" based on how far you push the stick, it'll slow my toon down to a slow walk. It's very aggravating.

Perhaps your controller has a similar issue?

Also, I have to wait until thursday late night, or friday afternoon essentially because of work, to play because I'm overseas right now and games don't unlock until thursday night. At least BL2 will unlock at night. Really sucks...

So far, so good. Just met up with the gentleman hunter, lol. Then, sadly, I had to go to bed. More adventure to be had later this afternoon. Having to kill the first boss with my blade because I ran out of ammo was a somewhat tense situation. Playing Zero first time out btw.

Yes you can, there are stations in the major towns for it.

Also the trophies/achievements aren't bad! I don't remember all of them but I don't recall seeing an online one (Thankfully). But I could be wrong.

I tried out Zer0 yesterday. I don't like him so I'm going to stick with Axton and the Scorpio Turret that I have named Snowfang (Don't care that he calls it Female, It's Genderless in my mind).

I am having a BLAST with this game. And maybe i don't remember the beginning of BL1 because it's been so long, but this is a lot harder than I thought it would be, I die quite more than I expected to. Specially to one of the side bosses named Dr. Mercy... till i figured out the trick to fighting him.

The addition of a new Element (Slag?) to the game is fun, it makes enemies weaker to all other attacks once they are infected. The enemy Variety, the random statements that are said... oh it's all just wonderful.

Things I like!
1. Sir Hammerlock. I want him everywhere in the game, and to just keep being awesome.
2. New Enemies
3. New Interactions and Random Statements from Enemies
4. New chest Designs, It's better than just 2 types in total for gun cases, though.. why does an outhouse have so many guns in it...
5. The More Unified Story, we know the villain early on and he even interacts with us. In Borderlands 1 you had a new villain ever chapter. Which is fine, but not as... fluid.
6. Side Quests are far more interesting I think this time around, there are still some basic fetch and Travel quests but they tend to have fun twists in them. There is also a bit less of them so I'm not stuck in a seemingly endless journey of side quests and then out-level the main quest.
7. Guns.. oooh the guns are so much fun and so different. I love reloading and throwing my gun, or having a rocket launcher attachment on rifles and pistols and shotguns. I also like how it states the chance of an elemental effect occurring on it this time. And the damage it deals.
8. Grenades/Shields/Mods - A lot more of variety this time around. Even thouhg I haven't gotten far in, the shields and grenades in the first game were fairly basic. It does 1 of 5 things with 1 of 4 elements and that was it. Now there are so much more!
9. Badass Rank. LOVE IT. Fun to be actually rewarded for those challenges with something tangible. Before it was just EXP which... when you hit max level was pointless. And the fact that that transfers to all your characters is awesome, but if you don't want it you can always disable it.
10. New Inventory - This is a mixed bag (pun intended), I think it's great for the PC, but if this is the same one on the PS3 and Xbox360, I can imagine it being a little worse than the first game, which worked great on the Consoles but not so great on the PC. (I hope they fixed that damn split screen issue...)
11. I love the gun designs and variety in just how the guns look, and the scopes in this game are just awesome. I have one that shows a small orange circle whenever the site is centered on a shootable target.
12. Account wide stash!!!!!

I spose I could go on forever... there are also a few things that I don't like

1. I think everyone should be able to dual wield, not just one class for a small period of time. At least let me dual wield pistols or SMG, and Salvador can dual wield the 2 handed guns.
2. I was hoping that would add a new gun type, and in my head the gun type was lasers. I know the first game had alien-like weapons, but I'm talking about a whole class of guns powered with battery cells or something. I would even include flamethrower's in that!
3. Still has a heavy... use of vehicles. You don't HAVE to use them but it takes you forever to get from A to B without them. I know this is a personal thing, I just don't like vehicles in FPS games. Ever. Clickable fast travel from anywhere for a fee please! (Yes I want the Guild Wars 2 method on this... it has spoiled me)

Really that's all I can think of right now. I love the game and am once again at work wishing I wasn't here.

Now if only the main villain of the game didn't have the same name as me (Jack)...

Love the game, abilities, combat, etc.

It isn't without flaws though....

If I'm playing co-op as the host and someone else activates a gate that I need for my main quest, or presses the button to open a door, or pulls a lever to activate a hoist, the main quest breaks and I need to rehost. It happened to us with two different hosts multiple times last night. If you have a friend who likes to run ahead and activate quest objectives when he's already finished them, this could be detrimental to your play experience. Once we figured out that this was the reason our quests were bugging out, we didn't have issues. We'd just call the host over to open the door, pull a lever, etc.

The quest areas I noticed it happened the most: escorting Claptrap to his ship before the first bandit camp (if host doesn't lead the group to activate the quest, CT bugs out and gets stuck behind a wall), the large metal gate at the end of the camp (host must be first in line to the gate for it to open), an area where a hoist is used to raise CT up to a higher platform (if the host doesn't activate the hoist, it'll bug and CT won't ever get off the elevator).

I also noticed that every time someone tries to join my game, I'll freeze for 1-2 seconds. This is a problem. It got me killed twice because someone who was having connection issues kept spamming the "join game" option before I closed the game.

Otherwise, I love the new additions, the visuals are amazing, guns work well, and effects are cool. I just hope they fix the above issues.

Also, if you're having trouble hosting a game, make sure you invite the other players into your lobby prior to starting. This fixed many of our issues.
