Yeah, i've played through Chapter 3 on Heroic myself and i don't understand the 'encounter design' argument either.

The MP seems way more balanced now with this progression system than with the lopsidedness of Reach's armor abilities at the center of the gameplay.

Wow, this is my first time saying anything remotely negative about Halo, I always wondered why the anti-Halo crowd was so bitter, I guess I see now.

I am liking the game, but definitely had an un-fun time last night with it. I'm sorry that offends people, but I play games for fun.

I dunno man, I feel this is the most accessible and newb friendly Halo yet to be quite honest. In terms of the matchmaking they will be releasing the fully functional and fleshed out ranking system in a few weeks. They wanted to wait until after the game came out and people started playing to gather data to tweak it properly. After that happens you will likely start getting grouped with people of a similar skill level if you aren't right now.

The Loadouts do not provide a significant advantage....there are no overpowered weapons and the perks are relatively balanced...The biggest thing to get use to is not having loads of weapons just laying about the map....Until I unlocked ammo I was constantly running out of BR ammo and there was little to be found.

I can't speak for anyone else but I'm not bitter at all. You're entitled to your opinion. I'm just having a normal discussion with you about it.

This would be really nice. I love Halo and I have never not had fun with it before. I was pretty bummed.

I find it significantly more accessible then Reach.....

Well im playing halo 4 on legendary and I think I've only run into about 4 or maybe 5 invisible enemies. there were more than that in the first halo. also, other than elites, promethan knights are the only other enemies with shields. the flood didnt have shields but they would get back up after you "killed" them the first time. what makes it hard is how the prometheans behave. its not numbers. i would argue that the covenant are much easier to deal with than in previous games.

Actually I just read a little more about it and it's supposed to come out this week along with the SWAT playlist.

Wait, Punk...Are you feeling attacked because someone is peacefully offering a counter argument?

I don't think anyone has shown any sort of offense to what you've said.

I feel like the guns are more balanced this time around in the mp. I'm actually doing really well with the assault rifle, which wasn't possible it seemed in halo 3. I like how ppl with vastly different playstyles can all succeed at this game, and not just the mid-long dmr specialists.

Yeah I am currently on the last level of the campaign on Heroic and have not encountered many cloaked enemies at all.

I'm overreacting to downvotes.

I've had to adjust to the AR....First time I played I a player rush me with an AR and thought....what an idiot....tried to put 4 shots to his dome only to end up dead after the 3rd. I like that the AR is actually a useful weapon....great for flag defense and close quarter maps.

i think the Composer level is the only place ive found them.

I'm going to give it another try I'm sure, it just didn't give me a very good first impression.

Hehe...don't pay attention to those.

Maybe Reach being squad based had a different pregression feel in the campaign that you've adjusted to. Having not playing much of 3, and coming off ODST and Reach,i found playing as Chief was a different experience again and there is that dreary feeling of solitude to the campaign. Soak it in.

The plasma rifle is also a lot better than in any previous iteration.

The first time I was mowed down with one of them in close quarters I was like wtf? My buddy thought that it was an alien saw, lol.

I just needed you guys to talk me off the ledge. For some reason if I get negativity right in the morning, I get annoyed. Need coffee. Thanks for being pleasant with me guys!

uncledonnie3 says:
Yeah, they call it the storm rifle now right? I haven't really used it in the multiplayer yet but I have in the campaign. I like it much better than the old plasma rifle for sure.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 13, 2012 6:43:08 AM PST
Love the storm rifle but I go through the "ammo" really fast.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 13, 2012 6:44:49 AM PST
I may have to give that one a try.....I still find it hard to break away from the BR/DMR....

I never do ;)

I always use BR, magnum, mobility, and prometheus. I also always go for a saw in a drop regardless of anything else if I see it....I love that friggin' gun.

DMR is 2nd favorite but I find that I'm more consistent with BR.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 13, 2012 7:03:10 AM PST
I tend to go the same way...except I use Ammo (I tend to run out if I don't)

The BR....just because it reminds me so much of Halo 3....

Prometheus is great....I use it to do a quick scan before I enter a base or turn a corner....still doesn't help when someone decides to snipe me from across the map.
