I dislike it. It's more of the same game each year, lackluster multiplayer, does not justify a $60 purchase.

Dislike

These games put me to sleep. Been there, done that, a million times before in far better games.

I agree $60 is too much. Hey should do a large map pack every year for $45

Spec Ops: The Line owns COD.

I do not like it.

I dislike the first person perspective in video games.
I don't like shooting games (exception made for shmups.)
I don't really ever play multiplayer.
I find modern military shooters to be vaguely offensive.

Indifferent since I have never played a CoD game. I did get CoD Classic on sale last month but I haven't started it yet.

I've played two and am of an indifferent opinion on the their quality from a personal level (me as the player).

However, due to the enormous popularity and sales numbers that these titles bring to the table, my indifference leads me to be of the opinion that the series as a whole is either massively overrated or that the gaming population as a whole is way to easy to please.

Well, from what I've played of them(the first 3) I disliked the series. I liked the older Medal of Honors a lot better and thought 1-3 were nothing special. I haven't played 4 on so I can't rate those.

I always found your opinions interesting, DVvM. May I ask why military shooters are vaguely offensive to you? I personally find them to be in somewhat poor taste, because it essentially turns very real, very not-so-glamorous military service into household entertainment.

A customer says:
I find the CoD games unimaginative and boring. That's not CoD's fault, it's just me; I prefer fantasy. Fiction. I play games to get away from reality. CoD does just the opposite of that. I'll stick with UT.

Well, it seems like this is a crass attempt to commercialize actual people's terrible experiences with war (I have several friends who put in time in the sandbox during the War on Terror) by catering to the virtual paintball crowd.

I mean, it's not that these games don't do a realistic job portraying war (a game that did do a realistic job portraying war would be one of the most unfun games ever made), it's that they are often these jingoistic power fantasies a la "War is awesome! America rules! Take *that* brown people!" et cetera.

Which is not to say that all multiplayer shooters in the vein of virtual paintball are necessarily in poor taste. Goldeneye was perfectly fine as James Bond has little intersection with reality, and things like Halo and Killzone are clearly in the future or on other planets. I just find it vaguely discomforting the way these games distort reality in the pursuit of "fun".

I love it and think the Treyarch games are especially good. This one has been one of the best CODs. 15 hours in and counting.

i've enjoyed all of it so far. the campaign was my favorite yet, the zombies mode is still fun, and the multiplayer is addicting.

I have nothing against them....I had a blast in COD 4, MW2 and Blops, but haven't had a desire to pick up the latest in the series (though I did rent MW3 to play the campaign to see how the story wrapped up).

Having a blast playing BL2. I've made a few decent emblems (Buster Sword and Kenny McCormick being the two better ones I get praise for so far) and plan on making a few more South Park characters.

The multiplayer is smooth and a lot of fun overall. There's a TON of unlocks and it's going to take some time to get a lot of them. My K/D isn't too high because I often move quick with an SMG right into the enemy, but I've had a few games were I had 9+ k/d and a lot of +20-25 kill matches in TDM.

Where's all the Hardcore S&D players? None of my friends will play that mode, but it's one of my favorites.

Now if you had double xp you would jump from 30-50 in rank in about 20 matches haha. But ya double xp weekend is awesome, certainly helping with the weapon unlocks so i can figure out what i like and use them through my first prestige to help raise my kdr.

I'm almost 47 right now I think. I'm about to prestige my gun again too and have all but the final camo unlocked.

Double xp is making this go very quick!

Why did all the posts saying that they don't like the series get downvoted?
